Oh man…this sounds horrible that someone would do this. Good thing you’ve changed your e-mail. I would suggest getting of Facebook temporarily, it’s not worth the hassle. Clearly whoever this is, is finding out from people posting on Facebook and sending you e-mails.Just dissappear electronically except from your “looking for work” e-mail.

I don’t know if there’s a way you can trace who is getting into your accounts. Personally I would send ridiculous e-mails( like I won the lottery, etc.) and try and trace how they come back to me. Do you live in a smaller town or a city? It seems weird that someone you’ve barely known would go through this much effort to sabotage your employment opportunities.

@puppy….You did the right thing by changing your e-mail address. Make sure that you only gave it out to prospective employers. I would suggest that you use an entirely different e-mail account for family and friends. As for FB…do the same thing…make sure you lock down your privacy so that only friends can view your information. Then I would suggest that you remove anyone from your FB that you haven’t spoken to in say, 6 months.

If your business is still getting out then, you will know that the information is being given out by family or friends and you can start weeding out these “friends” accordingly.

I think you also need an IT person monitering your e-mail and FB accounts as well as your computer IP address. There are plenty of hackers out there who can get into your information. I’m sorry you are going through this, try your hardest to get some real evidence so that you can pursue this in the courtroom.

if you’re worried that people are in your Facebook account you can actually track when your account it logged into. Facebook has a setting for that. Just go into your accout settings and on the settings tab there is an account security section that lists when your account was logged into and from where.
