@luverly7:  It wasn’t hard at all!  30 was a blessed and amazing year, and then 31 was even better!  I think it depends on your life, and how much you have accomplished and what you have to look forward to.  My career is amazing, and I am blessed to be doing what I love and making amazing money.  God has been so ridiculously good to me! When I welcomed 30, I was  happy with my profesional and family life, and also dating the kind of man I had always prayed to meet and marry.  I felt blessed to have the job, man, resources and life I had always wanted.  I can afford a lifestyle now that I couldn’t have in my 20’s. I remember saying to my boyfriend, now fiance, on my birthday that I felt overwhelmingly blessed and thrilled, because I knew my 30’s would be the best decade of my life so far!  This is the decade in which I will marry my dream man, have children, and chase a thousand new dreams.

Cheer up and start counting your blessings- I bet you have a LOT to be excited about and feel blessed for too! 30 is amazing, so don’t listen to anyone who tells you otherwise!

@luverly7:  I could be alone on this, as I found when I posted about being 30 and waiting on the waiting forums here.  But, turning 30 was hard for me.  I just sort of always thought I’d be married with kids by 30.  Then I had hoped to be married by 30…..and then I hoped to at LEAST be engaged by 30.  I was very depressed about it- my BF’s SIL got married 3 months ago and had to keep letting everyone know that she got married 2 days before her big 30, and how lucky that she was to really be getting married before 30.

It really depressed me and made me start to dislike her a bit-and my BF, enough to just want out and to start over.

I have turned a corner and I’m better dealing with it now and focusing on the positive…but it WAS hard for me.  I don’t look old as I get carded ALL the time, and I’m in great shape and don’t feel old…but I was let down by some stupid expectation that I got in my head so it made 30 very rough.

Life only gets better and better.  No issues here with turning 30.

My 20’s were fun but sometimes stressful.  The 20’s are about going to school, establishing your career, travelling and finding out who you are.  I worked very hard in my 20’s to earn an income and dated many Mr. Wrong until my Mr. Right came along when I was 28.

I am almost 33 and since turning 30 I have paid off most of my student loan debt, gotten  engaged and bought a house – life is good in your 30’s.  Smile

I turned 30 early in the summer and it hit me hard.

All of a sudden I’m checking a new box when I fill out forms (so long 25-29 box), saying I’m 30 when someone asks etc.

It’s still weird.

That being sad, I’m happier at 30 than I was at 25, I met the man of my dreams and hope to spend the rest of my life with him.

Your 30s are all about what you make of them!

I’m not 30 yet but I’m not afraid if turning 30. I welcome that decade of (hopefully) stability and knowing what I’m doing with my life!

My late teens/early 20s were the worst for money,Mr Wrongs, finding my path, ugh I never want to go back! So things should just keep getting better and better I say!
