I officially changed my last name :)

It was super easy, went online printed out the name change form for SSN for newlyweds, filled it out and sent it in with my original marriage license and passport, got everyhting back within the same week. Had new SSN card the week after. Made an appointment for DMV (easiest DMV visit i have EVER had), name changed on license, got my new license the following week. Changed my bank account, car information, work information and other bills.

I was super surprised how easy everything was to change. Everyone always talks about how difficult it is to change you name, but for me it was a simple. Now i have a weird last name, that im not at all used to signing, but i feel closer to my hubby, which is wierd i didnt expect to feel any different.

Me too!

I'm still changing all of the small things like updating different websites and things but everything that needed to be offically changed is now changed!

awww how sweet, congrats to the New Mrs Mouse!!! I swear I feel so old fashioned or traditional but I am dyinnnnnnnnnnnnng to change my name. It's just one of those things I have always dreamed of :) Good to know it's not so challenging as some make it seem. All states are different of course.
