- Wedding: August 2010
I’ve been an avid bee-reader for close to a year now, but this seems to be my first post asking for help! I have been unsuccessful in teasing out a solution based on others experience…boo!
Ok so here’s the deal:
My sister in law will officiate our wedding. She has been a great friend of mine and my fiances over the years, she’s young, fabulous and hip. (I feel it is important to know her style?) She loves vintage clothes, doesn’t dress trendy for the trend of it, & loves fashion.
Originally she was thinking of wearing lots of black, something structured (pants suit?) and then changing following the ceremony. I feel like too much structure/black makes her 1) blend in with the groom (it will only be the 3 of us standing up) 2) doomsday 3) justice of the peace?
I don’t fear her outdoing me, I mean come on I’ve got the super fab dress 🙂 but she’s concerned of wearing something too femenine or overshadowing.
Has anyone had the experience of trying to dress the officiant? Any suggestions?
Right now i’m thinking something neutral but not neccessarily black, and strucure could be great but I really am not feeling a pants suit. Perhaps some grey/navy/mauve?
heelllpppp! If you have any questions/want more guidance about her I’d be happy to oblige, otherwise thanks in advance!!!
(PS here are 2 photos of her looking fabulous at a hair show, and in general – being her wonderful self!)
