I know the traditional people to get Bout's on the big day, but does the officiant get one too? Im meeting with my florist tomorrow and need some guidance!

Also if anyone has some great inspiration pics for my flowers in green, gold, chocolate brown, ivory scheme send them my way... heres what I have so far! My florist is a good friend that has been involved with flowers all her life and has recently gotten into weddings. She uses more of a wildflower approach so rounded bouquets of roses wont be happening on the big day!

Is your officiant a Justice of the Peace?  A pastor/priest/rabbi?

I think if your officiant is wearing any kind of robe (either judge's robe or religious garment) the bout is unnecessary and might not even be appropriate to wear with the robes.  If the officiant is wearing a suit/dress, a bout might work.  However, I don't think I've ever noticed a bout on an officiant.

I have worn a bout whenever the bride purchased one for me. I never request one, but appreciate the gesture very much. I have worn it with suits and my robes both.

I have seen it both ways and I think either way works. Our pastor is very close to us so if we do get married (considering eloping, eeek!) we will get him one.
