Weddingbee boards

Hi guys, just wanted to see if anyone had a good method of finding an officiant? Do you make a trip out to see them performing a wedding before you book them? Any good websites?

I'm in NYC but we're having the wedding in Ft. Lauderdale since my fiance's family is in FL and its a great place for a beach wedding. So anyways, its hard to find out good info about the Florida scene.

I live just north of Ft. Lauderdale and I too was having trouble finding an officiant since the pastor we wanted was booked up on our day. I found some names on Theknot.com. Just type in location and then officiant and it will give you some names. We are going to meet with one next week. i would recommend meeting with a couple or maybe attending one of their services to see how they speak. Since you live in NY maybe a phone conversation would surfice.
