Weddingbee boards

Long story short:

We don't have an officiant and we are about 5 weeks from the wedding. There was some miscommunication with our church and now we are scrambling. We have a friend that said they would get ordained and perform for us. We also have the church checking other pastors on staff. I looked online and everything that popped up looked like bad eharmony videos except for officiant services in the areas. Ack! 

I am panicky but I have hope and faith that everything will turn out just fine. 

Does anyone have any experience with their friends becoming ordained and officiating?
