That seriously freaks me out. Why on earth does the kid think it is cool to go to jail like his father? Chatanooga isn't too far from here, wow.
I know, hes only 4! Makes you wonder what his home life is like. Very heart breaking.
I think maybe he shouldn't be allowed to have contact with his dad if he can't realize that his dad did something bad and that's why he is in jail, not because he is cool! And maybe that mother needs to be checked out too. At least the police are looking into it.
That is a sad story :( I thought it was going to be slightly funny at first, like a holiday mishap where the kid just happened to want to open presents early or something so he went looking for other people's presents, but then when I realized it was due to missing his dad, it wasn't funny anymore. The parents definately need to do a better job of explaining "right & wrong" to him, so he will be able to understand why daddy had to go away for awhile, and that it is not any fun where daddy is..
Poor little guy.
He's only four years old. They have a limited concept of right and wrong. I think he just wants to see his daddy and has learned that doing bad things will get you to prison. He's probably seen someone behave poorly and people react negatively to drinking and he probably was taught stealing is wrong. Its heartbreaking more than anything to me. Without the whole story its hard to know how the rest of his family is and how well they supervise him...idk the did have some child safety precautions. I don't remember it saying he thought it was cool or prison was a fun place... I think he just misses his dad.
No I didnt think he thought it was cool, I dont think hes old enough to understand. I agree he was just trying to see his dad. Its so sad he doesnt get to have his father around.
