So in hindsight, I probably should have bought the bra for my dress a long time ago, but I didn’t which means I’m now stuck trying to find a low back bra 3 weeks before the big day. Oy.
My dress has built in boning and a panel that hooks in the back similar to a bustier, so wearing an actual bustier seems like overkill. However, I can’t find seem to find any strapless bras that are low enough in the back. The only thing I found was the Low Back Multi-Way bra from Victoria’s Secret and of course they don’t carry it in the store and are backordered until May 25th
Anyone have recommendations for a low back strapless bra? I’m a 36D so going without one isn’t high on my list and sewn in cups won’t provide any support.

I’m going to bump this for you because I need an answer to this too!! 🙂

I know you said you don’t want to go braless, but I’m curious, have you tried? I’m a 36D as well and my dress has the built-in boning and provides ample support. Just throwing that out there – at least try and see what you think.

I am sorry. I really don’t have any idea where you can find something like this, but have you tried your gown on without a bra. You may be pleasantly surprised and not have to wear one 🙂

what about the sticky cups? I wore them all the time when I went out with strapless or backless dresses and my friend whose a D cup wore them too.. they sell them everywhere now but I always got mine from Walmart. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Lingerie-Solutions-Backless-Strapless-Adhesive-Silicone-Bra/11836141

@milesbella: I agree. I’m a 38G and that sounds exactly like my dress. Once your dress tightly fits, it’s almost better than a separate bra. I would talk to a seamstress or your dress shop to see what they recommend.

Could you post a picture of your dress? I don’t know how low they need to be, but here are a few:
Benefits to that is the back can be folded down (shown in pictures) and it goes up to a 50FF.
Similar style to one above.

@jo.lee: I have never met anyone (online or in person) with my same bra size. What’s up 38G?

Have you checked out Nordstroms? My sister is like a triple G and she wanted a strapless bra. They were a little pricery but so absolutely amazing at helping her find something perfect. My sister has never been able to comfortably wear a strapless bra but she loves the one she got there! They have tons!

We have La Senza here in Canada that is owned by VS. They have pretty much the same bras, so if you’re able to ship from them to the US you might be in luck to find a low back bra. I have seen lots of them there.
I’ve also actually bought VS bras brand new off ebay. You could give them a try. If someone sells you a fake ebay has insurance to cover you if you report to them.

@milesbella: I did try it on without a bra and while it fits fine, I’ve lost about an inch up top from weight loss. Technically, I’m a 35D and when I bought the dress I was a 37D. So it’s a bit looser than it had originally been which makes me feel just a bit uncomfortable. Plus, because of my size my “girls” aren’t very perky so added support would be nice.
@HappilyEverAfter54: It’s worth a try! I know Victoria’s Secret sells some sticky type bras but the associate wasn’t sure if it would support me well enough or not.
@jo.lee: I’ll mention it to my seamstress and see what we can do…she’s really pressed for time as it is so I’m worried about adding on another alteration =/
@tinlizzleizzle: Thanks for the links! I’ll try to get a picture of the back up later.
@MrsPinkPeony: My seamstress mentioned Nordstroms so I’ll give them a try as well. Thanks 🙂

YES! I tried on about 20 (seriously) before deciding I should wear exactly what I did at my first wedding almost 10 years ago.
It’s got a low V back (so no back fat bumps), it hooks and zips in the front so you can put it on yourself (a bonus for me) and it’s comfortable.
It’s not cheap, but if you sign up for their email on the website you’ll get a $10 off coupon.

@tinlizzleizzle: *high five!* There’s another bee on here who’s our size, but I forget her name

Try a department store like sears or macys. I got my low back bra from sears. Mine kind of a longline bra but they have other types there too
