I think it's stunning.  like, absolutely stunning.  I love the light touch of aqua. I love the fabric, I love the drape, I love it all.

Major dress envy!!!  Do I have any options?

the dress is pretty but it's one of those where it might look funny once you get it on because of the drape.

@Amarie--you're right! and I have hips too! So I'll tell myself that it'd look like poo on me.  Lol.  My dress is lovely, but it's not what I pictured myself wearing.  I pictured something more like the 1st photo, but I did try bunches of those on and wasn't too pleased with them

I like your dress much better as well.

If you can afford it get that aqua dress and wear it to another big event. It's pretty but not really all that bridal to me.

I like the dress, but yours is more traditionally bridal, and I just love it! Stick with yours--no regrets!

Thanks ladies. you once again make me feel better.  But I still just having this nagging feeling that makes me wish I had done something different.  I felt pressure, I didnt like anything I found (in person!), I had a bad experience dress shopping.   the dress I got is very well made, its pretty and i like the soft look.  I just wanted DIFFERENT  and I let myself down in that department!

I think your dress is much more "bridal".  And one of my girlfriends - who is tall (maybe 5'10) is having that etsy designer do her BM's dresses and her reception dress.  She tried the dress you posted on, and while it was lovely, she said it showed every single imperfection b/c the fabric was soo clingy, and that the draping made her look very wide.

On the plus side - the seller does do custom work and has a bricks and mortar store in NYC if you want to have a dress made for your reception!

OOoooooh, I LOVE your dress, and it looks perfect for your figure!  :)

The Etsy dress is amazing as well, but I would think it would have the possibility of looking a bit awkward from some of the angles.  Especially if you're at all "blessed" in the hip region.

I loooooove your dress!!!  Maybe since the dress-envy one is a color and doesn't scream BRIDAL, you could buy it for a special occasion (like...grocery shopping, or hanging out at home - it's GORGEOUS!!)

Eek not for $3400! It's really pretty though. But I don't like how VERY obvious the seams on the bust are. They really stand out to me.

I love the draping though. Very hollywood glam!

That dress is beautiful, but so is the one you already bought!

I know with a lot of brides the grass is always greener on the other side with regard to dresses...but yours is beautiful and I don't think you should regret your choice!

OMFG, it's Carol Hannah from Project Runway! I loved her style...I wanted her to win instead of Irina, but...um, I'm on a tangent...

I think the aqua dress is beautiful, but it's very unforgiving. If it was cut on the bias, the hippage would probably be lessened, but as far as I can tell it's cut on the grain, so it would stick to you like nobody's business.

I think the dress you chose is incredibly beautiful. It's very flattering on you, and the soft tiers on the skirt make it very unique. They'll probably use rows of American bustle points to bustle it; when everything's put up it'll look like perfect rows of ruffles with no sign that a train was ever there.

And don't feel bad about your dress choice. I did the same thing- I picked a taffeta pickup dress with beading when I thought I was going to get an A-line lace dress, and waffled about it for a long time. Once I got it altered, though, I fell totally in love with it.

Ok, thanks ladies.  You made me feel better---I need to STOP looking at dress pictures. And the etsy dress probably would not flatter me much--I am very hour glass shaped and don't want to add more to my hips making me unbalanced.

Just stop, stop stop stop stop looking at dress pics!!!! gahhh

Twalila--YES, perfect gown for grocery shopping, thanks! lol

    I love your dress!

I'm like you, I see pictures of other dresses and I think to myself, "Hmmm...what about THAT dress?  Maybe I like that one more than my dress?" and I just have to stop.  When I feel like that, I just get my pretty dress out of the closet and look at it so that I remember why I like it :)

@Root--That must help A LOT.  I would love to have my dress with me.  I bought it on the East coast where my parents live.  Therefore, it's at their house.  I have to go back to get fitted and then they will travel with it to the wedding!  I would love, love, love to do my hair and makeup and on a "pretty" day, try it on.  I think I'd have more confidence if I had that option!

Boy, do I know where you're coming from VM!

But I really do think that your dress is gorgeous, and the tiered lace does make your dress different! You should totally stick with what you've got... and we BOTH have to stop looking at other pictures!

Oooh.. I see why you are having thoughts about the "envy" dress... but you're a knockout in your original dress... I actual prefer the one you already have!  I think it would be a win-win either way.

You could always wear the etsy dress at your rehearsal! I changed out of my ceremony dress into my rehearsal dress after the cocktail hour, before the ceremony. I bought the second dress on a whim because it was on a crazy mark down at Loehmann's ($50!) and it was way too beautiful to pass on. I am so glad I wore both dresses.
