Congratulations! I know when we decided to start looking at rings, I had money set aside; joint checking. We were able to do a down payment and the rest he paid installments on. It was so fun thinking "only 300.00 till that ring is all mine." BTW he suprised me earlier than planned with the ring. The day after he paid the installment to get it to 300.00 he secretly paid it all off. He proposed the next day.
Update!! Its now $1,151!!!!!!!!!
He was being SOOO lovey last night, sayings its almost "surprise time" (hahah thats what he calls our future engagement day) and that he cant wait to marry me!!!
how exciting for you!1...I love when our guuys put the effort in to try and surprise us..my FI has been sneakily saving for the past month and I finally asked what it was for and he told me it was for the Canon Rebel I have been wanting and that he thought it would be a great wedding day gift!

That's so sweet. WOW. "how much I've saved for you." He's a good one. Marry him NOW!
Today we went to the bank and Mr.FS put $150 (after putting in $263 last week!) into his savings/ring account!!! I beamed when I saw that and he loved that I got so excited.
So we're getting in the car when he says "I wonder if that transaction will show right away, I want to show you how much I've saved for you." My jaw about hit the floor because naturally I'm DYING to know how close he is to his goal (my sparkly!)
Ladies, Mr. FS' grand savings total as of today is..... ::drumroll please::
$853.00!!!! I couldn't believe it had gotten that high SO fast!!
Of course I have no clue what ring he is getting for me, but we settled on something that is white gold and at least a .50 carat princess cut...rings like that on Blue Nile are around the $1200-$1400 range...only about give or take $550 from what he has saved up already!!
I'm hoping to be engaged before mid-Aug (of course earlier would be fab too..July 4th would be the BOMB..haha get it?) Mr.FS says June is a super busy month for him at his job so I KNOW he could easily put away another $500...EEEEE!!! Im on my way girls!!!
