I honestly, truly thought I had this all figured out.  I've thought this 3 times now.  Luckily I haven't actually purchased the dress yet, but I am going to very soon and I've changed my mind AGAIN!  I loved the dress I had chosen in person and even posted the pics here stating my certitude, but looking again and again, I'm beginning to think I look more matronly than pretty.  I dunno.  I have 3 dresses I'm trying to choose between now and I want some opinions.  I'm ready for some opinions.  Please :)

    Casablanca 2010

This was my #1 choice in store, but looking at the pics, I'm starting to not like so much.  I'd get it in a ivory/champagne if I got it.

Oh God, I'm never gonna decide! : wedding dress casablanca allure DSCF4633

    Casablanca 1827

I really love how it hugs my upper body, the sweetheart neckline and the sleek design overall.  I'd probably get it in ivory, although I like the white.

This is the Allure C-157.  It weighs about 5000 lbs and it is SO HOT, but it is a very fun dress.  It was 2 sizes to big and not clipped in the back, keep in mind.

I like the first one. It looks very flowy and light. The last one looks too bulky for you.

I like the last one but there is too much detail on the bust. The second sweetheart neckline is my fav neckline on you. You look darling in all 3 so it doesnt matter which you choose.

thanks so much you two for your opinions!  I agree that the allure is too busy and bulky.  I'm pretty short and that dress swallows me whole.  It's so pretty though, I wish I could see it on someone more suited to it.

Right now it seems pretty dead even between my top two choices.  Which matches my own feelings!  I need some tie breakers in here, stat.

The first one is best, by far. It's prettier AND more flattering than the other two. Home run!

I do agree that it would look better in champagne or ivory.

I love how the top looks on you in dress one, but I like the body of the dress on you on dress three.....

I guess I have a tie...., I will formally vote for number three though.

    Good luck

I can see the tough decision...they are both really gorgeous. But if I HAD to choose, I'd say #1 gets my vote. The silhouette is very pretty on you.

Couldn't you have a sweetheart neckline put in on the first dress? I love the shape/look of the third dress on you best, but it is too busy/bulky. If you had a dress that was the same fit/shape of the third one (in your size, of course), but was made out of a lighter fabric, then I would definitely for that one.

As it stands though, I will vote for #1, with the stipulation that you look into putting a sweetheart neckline on it.

I love the sweetheart neckline on you, but the first dress is by far the best one IMO!! Definately check into whether you can add a sweetheart neckline to #1- Then its GOLD!!

The first one is the best in my opinion too, it looks lovely on you and looks easy to move in as well. Why don't you change the neckline to a sweetheart on the first gown?

Okay wow--I thought I was going to like #1 best on you, but then I saw #3 and omg--I think that is by FAR the best on you.  It's playful and fun and interesting.  I think it looks really great on you.  The others are a bit plain in comparison, though pretty, and just don't suit you as well, imo.  It also definitely has the youngest feel to it, so if you're concerned about looking matronly...

I love love LOVE dress #3 on you!! It is so fun and flirty, to me it matches your style of hair really well!! But honestly ALL of those dresses look beautiful on you and you're going to be stunning in whichever you chose. Don't worry about looking matronly, because once you have your hair and make-up done and have the veil on you will feel like the beautiful bride you are!! Have you tried on veils with any of them yet? That might help with your decision if you can get the full look with each one.

Have fun with it! You look great!!

I wonder what the 1827 would look like with a crinoline/petticoat underneath it to give it a little more fullness at the bottom? And I made wrong choice, I picked number 1 but meant to pick the 1827.

I really like how the last one hugs your body - but the truth it, if its uncomfortable DONT DO IT..  Last thing you want to be is uncomfortable and hot on your wedding day.  Remember,, being hot causes sweating, that causes makeup to run, stickiness to happen, etc.

I picked the 1st one.  I actually think that dress is beautiful is on you!!!  I love the  beading on top and it fits perfect for your body type.  Yes, the 3rd one swallows you whole (I agree) But, the 1st one looks perfect for you!

i think the allure one is fun and flirty and looks so good with your fun and flirty hair cut!--so that's where my vote went.

however, it seems like you are most comfortable in and with the 2nd one. it's YOUR wedding dress and you will be wearing it all night, and it will be in all your wedding pictures for the rest of your life. so wear the one that you are the most comfortable in. what do you feel best in?

First of all, you look super great in all 3!  I LOVE #3 because it's fun and different, but if it's not comfortable, stay away from it! You have to be comfortable on your wedding day! I choose #1 for you because it's so classic looking, but I love the sweetheart neckline on you in #2...is there anyway you can make #1 a sweetheart neckline?  The sweetheart is very complimentary to your shape!

I voted for number three before reading that  it weighs a lot and is hot, so I am going to have to change my vote to number one.  Although you look great in all of them, the first and last define your waist the best.

I STILL love the first gown on you!  You look gorgeous and it compliments your figure so well.  I would definitely look into creating a modified sweetheart neckline and check out how it would look with a nice size hoop skirt or crinoline underneath.  I think it would give you the "poof" that you like in the third gown.  Best of Luck deciding...and remember to have FUN!

I love the first one I you, and I agree with some of the PPs, I'd do a gently sloping sweetheart neckline on you since you have such beautiful broad shoulders (might look prettier for you than straight across).  Also, white for you is a must -- with your coloring (not ivory).  sorry to confuse! but for those who know colors by "season", you're a clear winter or summer!

I love the sweetheart neckline on you.  I feel like you would be WAYYYY too hot in dress number three, especially in N.Cal in September!  I am going with dress number one... but get a sweetheart altered onto it?

Honestly, when I went through the pictures these were my reactions:

    #1 - Eh

    #2 - No!

    #3 - WOW, now that's a beautiful bride!

So obviously my vote is #3. I understand that it is hot and heavy - but wow do you look amazing in it! I also prefer the shape it gives you compared to the other 2 so maybe you could try on more in that style (A-line vs. Slim A-line) if you aren't sold on the third dress!

You still have time though so I would take your time to make sure you are 100% happy with your decision!

First, you don't look matronly in any of the dresses, they all look pretty on you. However, Dress #3 is my favorite on you.  I know you said it is heavy and hot, but it really does look great on you.

Are your ceremony and reception going to be held inside or outside? I think that is a really important factor for your decision.  If your venues are outside than I would have to say no to the third dress because it is important for you to feel comfortable.  But if they are indoors, you may be okay, especially once the dress is fitted to you and you could even take out a layer of the crinoline to make it a little more comfortable.

i like the shape of #1 and the detail of #3, if you're not opposed to looking at more, consider trying Wtoo's Desdemona:

I am probably biased because I just do not like the sort of flower detailing on #3.  I've seen other dresses that I can see would be spectacular if you liked that sort of thing, and this one probably would be as well, but it's just not my style.  Other than the neckline, I think #1 looks better than you on #2 but either of them are very pretty.

I just think you look so happy in that third dress. I love it, and I think the bulkiness comes from it being too big! It's very unique and I think would seem less busy and less like it's swallowing you up if you were wearing your size. If it's uncomfortable, though, then I suppose it's not the dress for you. It got my vote, though!

I went back to the dress shop today to try on these three dresses again.  Tried them on in this order and felt meh about the first two.... but when I put on the Allure - it was a smaller size so it fit me perfectly and I just started CRYING.  Like tears all over the place.  That is MY dress.  I am 100% totally absolutely sure.  It was a size 8 and the way it pulled my waist in was like I was a model - so tiny!  And when it was in my size, the details we no longer overwhelming, they were lovely and amazing and everyone in the store agreed that this is the one.

And they even let me buy it as a sample so I got $400 off the dress!  I am so happy and so glad that I decided to question my decision and put it as a poll here.  I am 100 times more excited about my dress than I have ever felt before.
