@AllieBee12:  you’ll be fine! Breathe 🙂 a lot of it is likely water retention. Cut your sodium and carbs down, and you’ll lose it easily 🙂

@AllieBee12:  It could absolutely be time of the month, increased sodium intake, water retention from the long flight, a large part of that weight could easily fall off in a few days just by drinking extra water.  Don’t panic!  Besides stress causes weight gain 😉 how ironic and all-around crappy is that…

I’ve been on the Whole 30 for only 8 days and can fit into a dress I haven’t fit for 2 years!

No alcohol, grains (including corn), legumes, sugar or refined carbs.

Eat all the vegetables you want.  Eat fruit as well.  Eat lean protein incl. nuts.  You’ll be grumpy for the first week but then you’ll start to feel amazing and as a bonus you will be thinner.

Note that I said thinner, I have no idea if I have actually lost weight or not since you aren’t suppoed to weigh yourself.  But no one said anything about trying on a dress that’s been embarassingly tight in the hips for 2 years only to have it glide right on 😉

Long plane rides can cause temporary bloating too!  I had a friend who competed in bodybuilding contests and she used to have to fly days ahead to lose the temporary bloat.

don’t panic, you’ll be fine.  🙂

@AllieBee12:  I forgot.  No dairy either 🙁  Not fun but I swear it works, even if one week in is mostly getting rid of water.
