Anyone else accidentally plan an entire wedding before they realized that the 19th was the day before Easter?! I guess atheists just aren’t the best at keeping up with major church holidays, hahaha.
Anyway, anyone else getting married Saturday?! Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!! So close so close so close so close so close ahhh!

I doubt my church would allow a wedding Easter weekend, so nope, mine isn’t until May!

sodajerk: I WISH…ok, not entirely true, because my birthday is Saturday – the 19th, and when we originally looked at dates, we wanted the 12th of April, or the 19th (BEST BDAY GIFT EVER!).
Because we are marrying Catholic, and had no clue the calendar/Easter, we were not able to get married during the Lenten season. Which, is fine. Our date is May 3rd.
However, during a longer run this weekend, I stopped when I realized that the 12th was a date we originally WANTED, and on that day (this past weekend), the weather was GORGEOUS. 75, not a could in the sky. *facepalm*…fingers crossed we maybe blessed with the same on the 3rd!
Happy WEDDING WEEKEND TO YOU!

OUgal0004: Ahhh! Thank you thank you! I am sure your wedding weekend will be beautiful. I just kept saying that it wouldn’t rain for mine, and the forecast says 10% chance of rain at 75 and sunny, so fingers crossed for you, ma’am!

I’m getting married the 19th! But it was on purpose, we knew it was Easter weekend. We are very religious too. It works out great because 1. holiday weekend, lots of time for people to travel in and out (a lot of people are flying in from all over the country 2. there will be easter lillies in the sanctuary of the church to decorate for easter, and they will serve as decoration for our ceremony
We are excited. 4 more days!!! ah!

This Saturday for us, too! I had no idea it was Easter weekend under my fiance’s mother was planning the rehearsal dinner menu and kept stating they had to have a fish course. I finally asked what the big deal was and she was like, “IT’S GOOD FRIDAY!” Whoops. :/
Good luck and great weather wishes to all the other April 19th brides out there (our weather forecast is currently 30-40% chance of rain high of 80 with isolated thunderstorms).

sodajerk: Definitely forgot it was Easter weekend when we booked the venue. Went through a LOT of freaking out and now we’re just happy it worked out for our out of town guests who have a long weekend to enjoy with us!

- Wedding: April 2014 - Italian Villa
I feel you! We are getting married next week Thursday, the 24th, but it’s a DW and everyone is flying in on or the day before Easter. Oops! I actually did figure it out just before we booked, but we’ll be in Rome, so I figured even for us non-religious folks, it’ll be a neat time to be in the center of it all and to experience all the Easter festivities. Surprisingly, plane tickets were not more expensive. Bonus!
