My boss has just asked me if I would work a weekend in June for another co-worker who wants to take off.
This prompted my to count the number of weekends between now and my wedding.
This weekend doesn't count because I'm on call.
And after that, I only have 15 weekends left until our big day.
FIFTEEN WEEKENDS!!!!!!
I can't breathe.
I know! And October is coming up right after that. I'm seriously starting to stress! How exactly has an entire year of being engaged already flown by? Crazyness!

Yippeeee! My husband and I are returning to where we went on our honeymoon for our 1 year anniversary in September, so I CAN'T WAIT! 107 days to go!
Omg, Mrs.tobe, way to make me panic! We just decided a DJ isn't in the budget, so I'm scrambling to put together a playlist (yes, I realize 15 weekends should be enough to do it in, but it doesn't feel like it!!!). There are still so many DIYs to do! Eeeek!
@UpstateCait:Tell me about it! We had a year and a half and I listened to so many people talk about "how loooong" we were waiting to have the wedding. Psh! Yeah right! Doesn't seem long now does it?! Ahhhhhhh!

@jo.lee:I'm sorry, but I need others to panic with! Oh crap, I'm so sorry to hear about your DJ, that blows. You can make an uber awesome playlist though. I have so many things still left to do, and I am terrified of it all not coming together!
I completely agree! We are down to double digits and there's so much to do still! With vacations and parties and other summer plans, when am I going to get this all done?!?!

Tell me about it- November seemed so far away for me until my reality check the other day that I only have 5 months left! Somehow 6 months seemed like SO much more time, now the rest will fly by so I'm feeling kinda nervous already too... what do you have left to do?
Mine's in like... well, under 10! I still need a limo and a hair person, also a playlist for the DJ and bridal accessories... Lost! Lost I tell you!!
Good luck, don't worry it's still a ways away, I promise! Take it one day at a time!
Oh I know, I was thinking the same thing lately. Now that it is summer, it is sooooo close!! I feel like I have a lot done, but at the same time there is so much more to do! Plus I don't want it to be over--I'm enjoying the process, but it's flying by so quick!

I'm totally feeling you, ladies! Today marks 100 days till w-day, and it feels unreal! I'm excited and anxious all at the same time. There's still so much left to do, but I agree with yassim: we just have to take things one day at a time!
Oh my gosh! We're date twins and I didn't realize we didn't have that much time left! AHHHHH, I need to get my DIYs done!
OMG! It just hit me today how fast September will be here. Then I started to think about all that I need to get done between now and then. Ummm ya, there is way more than I thought.
I need to make a list in the most desperate of ways. I mean I have checklists and all that, but I need a new one! I need this day to be over so I can go home and make this list and start getting these things done.

We have to finalize everything with he DJ and caterer. I still need a cantor for the church, and I need to buy small details to DIY some things (card box, some tobacco canvas to hang outside our venue as makeshift huge flowy curtains, get a post cut and painted for our reception sign, etc), meet with our priest and the church music coordinator. What about you?

@jo.lee: Since you're not having a DJ, how are you doing this on your own? Are you renting PA equipment or anything like that? I'm very curious because I tossed the idea around in my head.
@Mrs.tobe: We are September 24th and just started planning last month -- so I'm definitely struggling to make sure I don't forget anything important -- LIKE TO BUY A WEDDING BAND! Haha!
I am super panicked! I realized yesterday that we basically had to send the invitations out in 2 1/2 weeks and I hadn't even ordered them! So after I ordered them I decided to email like all my vendors to check in to make sure I was still on top of everything.
And of course, all of the wedding planning is on top of studying for the bar and moving to a new city for my new job! So stressed. Can't believe how soon Sept. 3rd is!!!!
@Summy00:Oh holy Lord! I can't imagine!! You are some brave souls!!! And thanks for reminding me, FI needs to buy his wedding band too :P

@Mrs.Tobe - it really is crazy to look at last year compared to this year - last year we had seven weddings to go to including our own - sooo stressful! This year, we have ONE wedding to go to, and it's tomorrow! Can't wait to see your pics in the fall!!

We started counting when we finally set the date. Our count started at 200 days and today marks 100. Halfway there 
Tomorrow we'll be into double digits!!! I can't believe it's going by so fast! Looking at my calendar & seeing everything that has to be done, I know these next 100 days are going to fly by even faster than the last 100.

@7SEVENJ9:Your year last year sounds like ours this year! I've literally been to 5 bridal showers and 2 baby showers. And we still have 2 more of the 5 weddings to attend. Why one our year does this happen!? Last year I think we maybe went to two weddings! I'll be sure to post recaps after all this!

I'm flying to Massachusetts for it (I'm originally from there, now I live in Pittsburgh - my whole family still lives there, fi's whole family lives down here - thus the 2 showers) and I was trying to think of any DIYs that I could bring on the plane with me to work on but I'm pretty sure TSA would strip search me if I tried to bring on my DIY shoe supplies (glue, tweezers, etc.) or my pearl bouquet stuff (TONS of gold colored wire, wire cutters, needlenose pliers, etc.) and nothing else is compact enough to carry around the airport! But I do have my Gypsy (which is a Cricut accessory you can design with) so I'll at least be able to make some templates for random paper products. Leaving for a weekend totally messes with my project timeline!!!
@Mrs.tobe: I'm stressing, it's definitely starting to sink in! Haha! But you do what you gotta do. How long have you all been planning??
Oh Dear, I only have 13 weekends! I hadn't thought about it in terms of weekends before! That's scary!!!! We have a lot of DIY's to complete but thankfully our vendors are all set, we have final arrangement meetings in July then nothing until two weeks before!! I'm getting excited.
Oh god...it's one thing to count the days and realize they're dwindling, but when you put it this way by counting weekends, now I'm freaking!
Sooo many projects to do....oh boy.
@MandaMack:Yeah, I would hate to hear about you being detained in the airport as a possible terrorist for bringing your wire cutters and tweezers on the plane, lol! It sucks that your trip takes away from DIY time, but at least you can relax a bit and have fun. Maybe it will take your mind off the ever-looming wedding date! You seem to be in tip-top planning order if I do say so myself!!
@Summy00:We got engaged in March of 2010. I've been planning ever since. I guess it is just scary to be thinking of an event for that long of a period of time and then all of a sudden it's really almost HERE.

Did you have to remind me? I realized at work today that tomorrow makes it exactly 3 months, and I saved all the crappy stuff for now, like passports and paying people. I should probably get off here and on that, but here is so much more fun!
@Mrs.tobe: OMG! I am the weekend after you, so 16 weekends for me. That seems so INSANE. why did you say it like that? I was so much happier seeing 120 days! the number is so much bigger!
The closer it gets, the faster the time goes. I feel like I'm scrambling already. I am so excited and so nervous and panicky. It will all work out, it will all work out.

It certainly is coming fast.... it is strange though because one minute I feel like time isn't going fast enough and the next I feel like I need more time :O
I was putting together our programs and listening to our ceremony music on youtube and was seriously tearing up.
What a sap I am! I still can't get over how quickly it's coming!
