wow! how exciting would be it to receive one of those in the mail box!
congrats
Wow. Let me guess, papers from papersandmore.com? Yours has the same shimmer mine does
BTW awesome job. You put the rest of us DIY'ers for our invites to shame. Like those of us who used Kinkos, LoL. *cough* ![]()
All i can say is super fab! I love the detail in the envelope. What a nice ltitle touch!
Ooooh, I love it! We have the same colors :) If ours come out half as nice as yours I'll be thrilled.
I really like how you off-centered the design!
Beautiful! I used that same stamp on my STD's. I love how you carried the theme onto the envelopes.
Do you have any instructions as to how you made them? The are just what I was thinking about. I'd love to be able to create something like this. Was it difficult? Send me a message if it makes it any easier. Thanks!!
They look great!
but you mailed out invitations for a september wedding now?
WOw, they look great. I love the color choices!!
CONGRATS!! I cannot wait for my turn =) 1 more month before I can start sending them out.
No I'm worried... I'm not sending out my invitations for another 3 weeks and my wedding is the day before yours!
Ladies - am I mailing mine too late?
Those invites are GORGEOUS! How did you put the design on the envelope? I plan on making DIY invites, very similar in style to these, but I'm looking around at how to make them myself.
Isn't the rule of thumb, send the invite out 8 weeks before the event (2 months)
I would think for a September wedding, you send the invites out sometime in July
correct me if I'm wrong :)
those are *so* beautiful!
about mailing: i've heard that the rule of thumb is 8 to 12 weeks.
They look great! You and your gals did a totally fantastic job!
I think you mail the invitations before the wedding. Other than that, I don't think it matters if you mail them out a year before or a week before. Your guests know who they are (hopefully!) and they're already planning anyway. Good job on sending them out early! I'm sending out mine tomorrow. My wedding is July 4th. HAHA ettiquette! I foil you again! LOL. My guests already know, I'm not worried. The invites are a formality. I love your pocketfolds!! So beautiful! I'm super impressed!! And do I see a little Bee inspiration in there?
They are so pretty! I was going to use the paper source stamp on mine too so its cool to see it in action!
Those invitations really do look wonderful. Lately I have been working on something like this. I can really relate to what you were building. There were times when I wanted to say "Forget this, let's just go to the Wal Mart and buy a stack of invites".
If I didn't have over 200 invites I would so try to DIY (although I doubt they would ever compare to those invites)....those are soooo amazing. It is so wonderful how you can add little details and it makes the invites that much more special.
They look stunning, and I love that color!! Where did you get the pocket fold from?
MightySapphire- DEFINITELY Bee inspiration! Where would I be without you ladies??? ;) oooo! p.s I'm originally from Colorado! I grew up in Highlands Ranch. I will be going back home for one of my bridal showers next month! Can't wait to see those mountains again :)
volleybride-I got the paper from paperandmore.com and the pocketfolds and envelopes are from cardsandpockets.com
I also got RSVP envelopes (not pictured) in the same color as the paper, from paperandmore.com
Thanks for all the comments ladies! It means a lot! :)
pvaulter- You are fine! Don't worry! We just have 95% of our guests coming from Colorado so everyone has to reserve their hotel rooms! We got a block of rooms at a hotel and they will start giving away the rooms in August. So we sent them out early so everyone had plenty of time :)
You did a great job! Can't wait to see what else you have planned for the wedding
Oh I've got a ton of stuff up my sleeve ;) I've done a bunch of DIY projects but I never think to take pictures lol. Maybe I should start doing that... :)
Soon2B: I love your invites!! I'm starting the process of researching paper and I essentially want the same style as yours (horizontal pocketfold). Would you mind doing a budget breakdown (either on here or PM)? Why did you buy your paper products from two different sites? Was it just more cost-efficient? Thanks!

I mailed out the wedding invitations! Eeek!
It took 4 women and 7+ hours, but I think they turned out GREAT! I was literally running a sweat shop in my kitchen! (We had the stove burners on to melt the embossing powder)
I am sad to see them go! But I can't wait to start getting RSVPs! :)
