So we are now TTC, sort of! I’d just about given up with charting and trying to make my husband understand my cycle, and that I can’t get pregnant any old day, and that we kind of sort of have to make sure we’re trying during my FW.
I’ve really relaxed about it because I wasn’t well last cycle, and I just got over an ear and throat infection so BDing was the last thing on my mind. Yesterday we went out for Chinese Food, and DH’s fortune cookie said, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” So we’re driving home, and he says, “I think my fortune cookie was talking about me getting you knocked up.” I was like….what?? And he goes…”Maybe we do need to plan it a bit better…” It was like the skies opened up and the angels sang. He just needed to hear it from a fortune cookie!
And, today we were talking about painting the two spare bedrooms upstairs. He wants to start with a room that is a yucky purple, the room we eventually will use for a nursery. I said, well there is no point in painting it now, if we’re just going to have to repaint when we make it a nursery. And he said…why don’t we just paint it nursery colours now? (non-gender specific) I think he’s finally really wanting a baby now too!
I just had to share…Men are funny creatures aren’t they?

@Songbird29: LOL – they are! Fiance even gets baby rabies sometimes and I am ashamed to say he knows a bit more about charting than I do. The man has his chops waxed. The other day I told him I learnt the word ‘luteal phase’ so he asks me to define it. I blushed and replied ‘my, what a pretty luteal phase you have!’ and then he laughed and explained it to me. I am fairly useless at this stuff 🙂

@Songbird29: Haha love your story! And yes they are so funny like that. I could tell my Darling Husband something of vital significance but sometimes he doesn’t believe it until he hears it from someone else. So exciting you are TTC! Goodluck!

@Songbird29: Hahaha. My husband said to me, “Babe, I think we’re ready to start trying.” I laughed so hard and asked what he thought we had been doing for the four months before that!

@ Flanders It is truely shocking the things they pick up on that you would never expect them to isn’t it!! You’ll get the hang of it 🙂
@ lalalalauren Thank you so much 🙂 In my case, he took a fortune cookies advice over mine!!! And I just know the moment we get KU’d he’s going to say…I told you we should of started planning earlier!
@ ANewMrs That is TOO funny!! Glad to hear he’s onboard now! hahaha
