Ok so I spent pretty much the whole day at work looking at dresses online (its Friday after all). Mainly just, meh, some ok with a bit of chopping and changing, but then I stumbled across a Marie Claire wedding dress slide show and came across THIS
Lela Rose pleated silk-gazar gown. It’s just so beautiful, the amount of floaty ness I’ve been looking for, I love the blush colourings… Of course, according to Marie Claire its waaaay over budget at over £4k. I can dream…
But wait a minute.. Net-a-porter WERE selling it with 60% off! Oh but out of stock (phew).
Oh crap… http://www.theoutnet.com/product/108866 and it’s in my size…!!!
Ive not even started really looking properly yet (as per my previous thread). I can’t do this?

That’s a dress I’d really want to see on before spending that much money. Go to a salon and figure out the sillouettes that work best before you dive in… but its a beautiful dress without a person in it!

I love that dress! It’s stunning!

You have a bit of time before you NEED to have a dress. I wouldn’t jump on that one; nearly $2000 is not cheap if you decide you’ve made a mistake.
I agree with finding a salon and figuring out what works on you. I think there are other (more budget friendly) designers that make similar dresses for less; try to locate those. If you look around a little and decide that’s STILL your dress (hell, I decided my dress was my dress from a picture, so it happens), I’d look around and find a way to see it in real life before going all in.

Get it if you can return it.

@SuspiciousCoconut: thanks ladies, you are the voices of reason. I’ve slept on it and I have cooled off from the idea. I want the whole salon bridal gown ‘experience’ so to buy on line potentially means not going through with that, and that makes me sad. I know I’ve got loads of time but I’m a sucker for a ‘bargain’!!
@solidarity: its beautiful!!! I hope someone here sees it and buys it!!!
@love108: there is a returns but its shipping to the UK from the US so the returns would mean international shipping back which I don’t think I want to get involved with…

My advice is to go and either try on that dress or something similar before deciding to buy. There was two dresses that I was absolutely obsessed with and I was ready to buy one of them… then I decided to go dress shopping and found out that the style looked horrible on me, even though I thought I had the perfect figure for it. What I ended up getting wasn’t really all that much like what I thought would look good on me.. goes to show that you really never know!
It is definitely a beautiful dress though! If you try it on (or buy it) please post pics!
