It’s 10:15–DDs bedtime is at 7, and she went down happily, like she does every.single.night.
Except this time, she woke up at 8:45 and has been sitting in her crib babbling, spitting, laughing and kicking.
We followed our schedule the same as we do every day of my life. Who replaced my baby with this one who needs no sleep???

Aw, haha. At least she’s not crying?

She thought she might be missing out on something exciting? :p

That’s true, not a tear in sight. Of course, she shows no signs of slowing down, either.
@russian_doll: You’re probably right. Her Dad and I had a Hot Wing date tonight. Maybe she smelled them and wanted to join the party. I knew that feeding her all that baby food as opposed to formula was a mistake! 😛

Most definately be glad that she isn’t crying. My son this past weekend woke up at 10:30 pm and didnt go back to sleep til after 2 am and it was just me for the weekend. It sucked, between crying and me crying because had a migrane due to no sleep…

Have you heard Samuel L. Jackson reading the beloved children’s classic “Go the Fuck to Sleep”?
Makes me laugh every time.

Go the F to Sleep was the first thing that came to mind, but Katyelle beat me to it! hehe! Gotta love Samuel L!

Yep, “Go the fuck to sleep” was definitely what popped into my head when I saw the post title. My (not at all baby) child still sometimes manages to freakishly stay awake far too late… I am guilty of thinking those words in my head for sure.

Update: she made it until 1:30am before she fell asleep. No crying, no fussing, but that’s also 5 hours of awake time in the middle of the night. I gave up and went to bed before she did.
If she’s not gonna let me in on what’s so damn funny, I think I’m going to need to get that book.
