In the midst of all my planning joy, I have realized that I have kind of skipped out on our honeymoon. Now, my wedding isn't until July 14th, but I feel like it's a must that I start thinking ahead. My FH and I decided on Las Vegas, however when I started my research I found that weather in Las Vegas is unbearably hot in July (100-116*)

With that being said, does anyone have any information about Vegas in the summer they can share? I think it would be so much fun, but with temperatures that high I'm definitely getting turned off!

I lived in Vegas for 3 years, it is absolutely miserable in the summer (i.e. still over 100 degrees at midnight) - that being said it all depends on what you want to do.  If you are ok with staying inside the casinos and minimizing your time outside then it'll be just as fabulous as it is anytime of the year.

I think it depends on what you would like to do in Vegas. All the casinos will have air conditioning, so if you're only planning on gambling and going to shows, you probably wouldn't have to feel the heat much at all.

Lots (or all?) of the hotels have pools also, so you could use the heat to your advantage if you are looking for a poolside vacation.

If you would like to hike in the desert, the heat will probably be an issue. You can go on very early morning hikes though, which might help a bit.

Maybe I should start looking into cruises. I really want to walk around and see the sights. I already live in the south and the humidity can be a killer sometime. There's always Vegas at Christmas time!! :]
