WAIT!! They’re for sure wild bees & not hornets? DON’T KILL THEM!!!!! They’re a serious rarity because of colony collape. Call a local bee keeper; they’ll come collect the bees for free. No pesticides, no worry for you guys!

@mrs_pudding_pop:  That is too funny.

I love being a bee, but am friggin terrified OF bees. Case in point: I had the top of the window cracked in our shower, and saw a few bees swarming. Cue FI running in because I’m screaming bloody murder and begging him to close the window for me.

Yeah, I’m a wuss.

Yes, please please call a pro and have the hive moved if they are bees. Wasps, hornets, those nasty buggers can be exterminated. Have you seen one up close(ish)? Bees are fuzzy, wasps are not (and hornets look like the devil)–here’s a good link on the difference. Your county (I believe) will remove the nest for free if it is bees–please find out what it is before you spray it.

@mrs_pudding_pop:  I was just thinking that! True bees don’t typically nest on houses. Which reminds me, I saw a TON of bees today, and I was SO excited!
