I’ve never heard of 6pm, but Amazon is always excellent.

@erinbacher:  Have you tried their parent company, Zappos? They’re better in that if you sign up for the VIP program, they give you FREE overnight shipping, free returns and expedited refund processing on EVER order.

And they don’t seem to have the same price increases at the drop of a hat.

@erinbacher:  Darn.

I’m not sure if their customer service model is the same as Zappos, but why don’t you give them a call, explain what happened and find out if they can adjust the price? The worse they can say is no, but you might be surprised that you say ok since it was the same day, and you just got busy. GIVE IT A TRY!

@erinbacher:  I had an issue with 6pm, too.. I ordered a pair of shoes, in a 6.5, and they sent me a 5.5.

They normally don’t refund shipping, and they don’t pay for return shipping…. but I figured since it was their mistake, they should pay for it… so I emailed, and had to wait a few days for a reply and a shipping label, but they did send me a prepaid shipping label and I got a full refund. It was just really inconvenient to have had to email, wait, print a label, box them all up and ship them off for an error that was on them.

And worse, when I went to re-order the correct size, they were OUT of them! 🙁 So I never got the shoes I wanted…

They were $26 on 6pm, and $90 on amazon… I couldn’t afford $90 for a pair of shoes. 🙁 Oh well.

@erinbacher:  I have only ordered from them once but when I did they sent me the wrong size.

I’ve had a lot of good luck with both zappos and 6pm. I try to wait until things go to 6pm though because I feel the prices on zappos are a little steep.

@erinbacher:  Excellent! I hope that after all that, the shoe works out for you!

I’ve never ordered from 6pm myself, I’m a Zappos girl. I just like the instant gratification of buying a shoe today and having the UPS man ring my doorbell tomorrow and for the shoes I like, they seem to be about the same price as everyone else.

I’ve had great experiences with getting shoes that I like at a good price from 6pm.com…except they sent me one pair of shoes where each shoe was a different size.  6pm had some shoes that I wear to work and like at a great price, so I ordered a few pairs.  Clearly I didn’t check all of them carefully when they arrived, and I didn’t discover this error until months later, when I had packed the then-unworn shoes in my suitcase for a business trip and found out at my destination that they were unwearable due to the size difference.  I made an emergency trip to Payless, and I never followed up with 6pm because I had ordered the shoes months beforehand for <$30.  It’s a funny story, but I learned my lesson about carefully checking shoes that I’ve ordered online.
