They have a 100% affirmative RSVP rate. Sigh.

Oh God. One of my major fears. We currently have 55 more people on the invite list than we can actually manage to pay for, and my parents keep saying, "oh, don't worry! They won't come!" Um, YES, they actually might!

Haha... yes, every single person that my parents said "they probably won't even come!" about... has said yes. ;)

Oh my, you're scaring me. My fiance's parents did this too and I believed them. If the courtesies come, that DOUBLES my estimated guest list, and what we can pay for.

that's why i put my foot down and told my mom no! she kept saying, "so and so won't come." and i said, "did they tell you that?" we didn't invite them (after a fight), and now they're begging to come! i'm sooo glad we didn't invite them, our guest list would have been huge!

Yep I've been surprised by the ones that said they are coming.  I know for sure the courtsey invites that went out to our grandparents families won't come because they can't drive any more and live out of town.  But the parents courtsey invites can still drive and will propbably come.  Oh well... get out the check book. LOL

Ahhhh, that is so scary. I sent out save the dates to my side THEN got MIL's list which was longer than I expected and am now really really worried because we just won't be able to fit them all!!

Yikes, I was avoiding it so there won't be any courtesy invites from us to our guests.

OMG this is so NOT what I need to hear.  Talk about my biggest fear realized!  I mean, I realize there are worse things in the world than more people that want to celebrate your marriage with you, but yeesh!  Could they bring their own chairs and a sack dinner?  ;)

I'm going to agree with many of you - We have a handful of out of state people who verballed have confirmed - they know the date and whatnot, but we haven't even mailed out STDs yet...  Makes me reconsider doing an A & B list and trimming some of the fat, so to speak.

Our venue is not large enough to hold everyone that is currently on the list, sooooo.....

DEFINITELY the reason why FI & I took a hard line on our guest list.  And a good thing, too, because just from the STDs, we've got 85% affirmation...if 100% of our guests say "yes", that's the limit of our budget.

So sorry about the courtesy invites ladies...hopefully the "guilty parties" will cough up the money for their courtesy guests.

    Aw, thanks, Jackie-O!!!

Yeah, I'm surprised by how many of them are flying in from out of state! I certainly wouldn't get on a plane to go to the wedding of someone I've never met! Somehow we still only have 130 'yes'es total. The budget was for 150, and it looks like we'll get 160. At least that's not terrrrrrrible, so I can't be too mad. ;)
