So I have majorly oily hair, and to help that, my stylist suggested not shampooing my hair 3 days a week. It's usually so oily on those days that it looks wet- sadly, I'm not joking.

Well I bought the bumble & bumble hair powder (it's basically a sprayable powder) that soaks up oil and wore it the past few days... today, I did not shampoo- AND MY HAIR IS DOWN! Yes it feels a bit greasy but not noticably at all.

    MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! I've been using cornstarch for years to soak up oily hair. It apparently works the same but is like 1000X cheaper. I put it in the night before so it settles throughout the night (it CAN look white, unlike the colored bumble powders) and brush it out in the morning.

yay for no more greasy hair though! i hate that wet look. i feel so icky

it's also a great idea to use 'clarifying' (clear) shampoos.  Mostly shampoo the roots since these shampoos tend to have less thick creamy conditioning materials (you can tell by looking at it) - I get the non-sulfate ones at Whole Foods - my fav is the clear one that contains TEA TREE OIL - it's good for oily and itchy scalp.

    It looks like this:

    I usually use conditioner after~ :)
