I’m obsessed with skincare – but I’m not sure your question here. You mentioned Paula’s choice – while I don’t use any of her products (I’m a admittedly unfounded yet unshakeable  HE snob) I love the beautypedia reviews on her site! They really go on depth and analyze the ingredients and efficacy of a product.  I always look products up there before buying them. They’ve also  helped me dis4over some amazing products!

Rose214:  I use a regimen by Skyn Iceland. The Glacial Face Wash is especially amazing. I also use Murad Post Acne Spot Treatment.

I use Obagi CRX line which is a preventative line. I also use the Ogabi cleansiderm line which is for acne which just helps dry my skin out. I use it when I’m going to be wearing make up for a while or I just feel greasy lol. I’ve seen women with oily skin seem to age a little better overall. We have a Visia machine at work which analyzes your face compared to other women your age. It’s pretty cool. They’re usually worse in the bacteria department but most always do better on overall texture.

Rose214:  I use the soy cleanser by Fresh. It’s one of the best ones I’ve used so far, and it’s fragrance free!

I have oily skin and I use SK II for the most part. Their Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser is amazing, and I use the Facial Treatment Clear Lotion (toner), Facial Treatment Essence (can’t live without this stuff), and the Facial Lift Emulsion is the best light lotion I have ever used.

it’s very expensive but luckily my parents love grabbing me some whenever they come back from Asia from the duty free shops.

I have started using an eye cream from them but not sure about it yet.

I use a combination of Mario Badescu and Ole Henrikensen products. Both lines ssmell amazing and price wise, they are not super expensive. I have tried Murad, Clinique, Origins (though I do like the clay mask), L’Oreal, Aveeno, and a few more but nothing works as well as MB and OH.

Whenever I have a little break out I dab 100% cocoa butter stick over it and it helps for it to go away faster.

I wouldnt trade anything for my 46 year old oily skin.  I used to use clinique that seemed to work on my skin; however, the older I have gotten my skin is more combtination than oily, I have some dry patches.  I have also turned into an allergy bag, so I now have a more natural regimine.

I wash my face with african black soap from Ghana

I tone with Witch Hazel

I moisturize with Avocado Butter in the winter

In the summer I use a facial spritz I made with aloe vera, distilled water and hazel nut oil ( I know it sounds crazy but hazel nut oil actually helps you absorb oil)

I use a natural aztec facial clay I try to do this at least once a month

If my skin is irritated I sooth it with african black honey, it is an excellet moisturizer retention I also works wornders on adding moisture to your hair.

I also periodically do steam facials prior to using my clay mask to open my pores up.

So people often think this 46 year old lad is in her 30’s, I don’t have wrinkes or crows feet… to be honest I don’t even worry about under eye cream.

Also at night I moisturize with coconut oil and if I am out in the sun I use it as a sun screen.

Rose214:  I’m 34, and I have oily skin and have some sun damage- from working outside for years when sunscreen wasn’t pushed/a bid deal.  I’ve taken very good care of my skin for past 6-7 years though.

Your title seems like you’re asking for suggestions- but your post makes me confused.

I will just throw out some good products I use w/my oily skin that balances everything out.

I alternate cleaners because my skin gets sick of using the same stuff all the time.

Juicy Beauty Cleanser, Angels on Bare Skin (Lush), and Dr Jart PORE minisher cleanser.

I use Bosica Antioxidant moisturizer w/spf 30 and Dr Jart Ceramid Cream (night- occasionally during the day in the winter if I will have no outdoor exposure)

I mix Kate Sommerville Dilo oil in with the moisturizer (Boscia)- it actually makes my skin LESS oily- even though I am using an oil.  I only use a drop or 2.  That’s my winter oil.  In the summer, I use Maruca Oil.

creeative1:  Please don’t use coconut oil as sunscreen. It is not a safe or effective form of sun protection.

Mrs. Honeybee:  works for me… Sunscreen causes adverse reactions when I use it… Ever wonder why people who iive close to the equator don’t have high instances of skin cancer?  More melanin perhaps, which I have plenty of…
