Or at least you favorites from it.  I'm 36 and very into 80s music but I"m not sure if most of my songs (especially the slow ones) are too cheesy and if people will roll their eyes the whole wedding...

Share your playlists please! I need ideas!

Not 30 something (29) but my DH is, and I am not sure if the peoples age getting married matters as much as the age of your guest list. Ours was largely family that ranged all ages, but I would say the most of them were 30 and older.

Are you hiring a DH? if you are, he should be professional enough to read the crowd and see what songs are getting them up and dancing.

If you arent, then you may want to keep to the more traditional wedding songs that are general favorites to ensure a good dancing time.

    P.S. I love cheesy 80s songs.

@lefeymw:I'm hiring a DJ but he asked for a list of do's and don'ts and then he'll fill in the blanks. I'm pretty selfish with my music though LOL!  I have a feeling my "do's" list may be extensive....

I'm in my early 30's.  We don't have a playlist yet but I know I don't want line dancing music.  Filipino weddings tend to have line dancing of some sort (todo todo, electric slide, etc.)  I love doing the electric slide but I don't think I want it in my wedding.

If you love 80's music, you should have a few 80's songs thrown in there.  But make sure to mix it up so that everyone gets a chance to boogie on the dance floor.

I'm with ya girlfriend.. NO line dancing and preferably no chicken dance type of thing (though I guess the kids would enjoy it)....
