This is my first cycle of BC and I was going to start with OK this week. Tomorrow will be C11, so I was going to go ahead and start taking to see if I am even ovulating. I have read that it is best to take them in the afternoon. I will probably take at morning and night too, just to see when I get my surge, since it is the first month. I bought the 20 pack of First Response and I opened the box this morning. It says that you aren’t suppose to take the test out until you are ready to use. There is no cap for the strip, like the pregnancy tests have. So how do I take in the afternoon if I am at work? I don’t want to have to bring the whole package to work. Do you think that if I just put in a ziploc bag it wouldn’t be contaminated? Does anyone have any tips on how to take these at work?

A ziploc bag will work fine.
What hours do you work? I get off work at 5pm, I would just take the test as soon as I got home (about 5:30).
Using the First Response predictors will get EXPENSIVE fast! Especially if you’re going to take them 3 times a day!
I went with Wonfo brand from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Wondfo-Step-Ovulation-Strips-50-Count/dp/B004IJHDN6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1335357772&sr=8-4

@abbyful: I second abbyful here, get the one’s off of amazon or http://early-pregnancy-tests.com (if that website isn’t correct, you can google it) 🙂 The Wonfo test strips are easy and super inexpensive. The first response ones are REALLY pricey 🙂 Best of luck! I think taking them in a little baggie would be perfectly fine and shouldn’t affect the results. Just don’t leave it in your car in the heat or anything.

@abbyful: I am just planning on taking them mutliple times a day this month since it is my first. I have just read that morning, afternoon and night all work for people. So I wanted to see when I get mine. Hopefully next cycle I will just have to do once a day.
Most days I leave at 4:30 but sometimes later, but I go straight to the gym from work. Cause I pass the gym to get home. I guess I could go home, take the test, then back
I will look into those strips for next month. The FR were expensive but I got them on sale and had a couple coupons, so that helped.
