And why are mine always way worse than others? one of my BMs and I had more than a few too many during our little Xmas party with just us. Same age, around the same weight, and I am 3 inches taller so not significantly so. We went to sleep at 2am. I get up at 7:45am to get A drink, feeling dead, and there she is in the computer room ready for the day. I came home and slept until noon. I get headaches, the runs (sorry tmi), usually I vomit -not this time- and I feel queasy and exhausted, my hearing feels muffled.
This is why I drink once a year. Something must be wrong with me. Even if its just 3 drinks, same thing!

I don’t have any cures once you are already hung over, but I find however many glasses of water I drink before bed (or Gatorade even) the better I feel the next day. I actually try to switch to water with an hour left in the night and that helps a lot.

@meetmethere2013: According to SO, greasy hamburgers. If I’m hungover, the last thing I want to do is eat greasy food.
I always take ibuprofen and drink a bottle of water before I go to bed when I’ve been drinking. Seems to help.
Sorry to hear you feel so poorly!

Last vacation we went to Senor Frogs. I drank so much I really thought I was going to not ever be sober again. In my one moment of consciousness I ran to the bathroom took 3 Dramamine pills and 2 liquid advil. Chased it all down with a giant glass of water. I felt a ton better and the queesiness, dizziness and “runs” all went away. I did have to take another 2 dramamine every 6 hours for the next day because my head felt like it was going to explode. It sounds like a lot of pills but its the only thing I have found that really works

Water Water Water. Drink tons of water. I drink about 2-3 glasses before I go to bed. Then I set out 3 ibuprofin and another glass of water by the toilet. When I get up to go pee, I take the 3 ibuprofin and drink the glass of water. I’m telling you it works wonders.

That is the worst feeling! Sorry you feel so crappy!
For me it’s more about preventing it. Drink lots of water all day when you will be drinking that night, eat well all day, alternate drinks with water, and drink water before bed. When I’m actually hungover I find that a big greasy breakfast helps, plus Advil (and sometimes Tums or Gravol) and sleep!

I just experienced this last weekend. My cure… stop drinking more then 3 drinks. Sucks because I love letting loose but it’s not worth it anymore.

Don’t you remember all those videos and things you had to watch and read in high school? “TIME IS THE ONLY CURE FOR A HANGOVER” lol….usually vomiting until it’s all out of my system and following that up with some eggs and bacon gets me right.

Hmmm sounds like me! I find it hard to drin water in general so I think once we (meaning us prone to bad hangovers) drink, we deydrate more easily and to a greater degree since we maybe start off less hydrated than most? Thats my logic.
Gatorade, Coconut water and advil/alleve wil help. For tummy issues, try pepto bismul!

@meetmethere2013: Try to remember to drink a glass of water between each alcoholic drink. Hangovers are usually caused by dehydration. Everyone’s body processes alcohol differently.
My advice is to drink in moderation, don’t drink on an empty stomach, stay away from sugar while drinking – and that includes sugary mixed drinks, they’ll make you sicker – and before bed take two ibuprofen and drink another couple of glasses of water, and that should help stave off a hangover. I also take 1,000 mgs of vitamin C, but I tolerate it well, not everyone does. I never have hangovers any more. 😉

Best preventative thing is to drink a glass of water for every drink you have. Hangovers are mostly about dehydration, so you can get drunk and not be as much of a mess the next day if you have water while you are drinking.

Take vitamin B12 before drinking. I have done this since college, and I am never hung over. I swear by this. Every person I’ve ever told that does this swears by it as well.
Pedialyte will help you the next morning.
Also, a bloody mary in the morning helps. 🙂

i’m from jersey and the best thing to get for a hangover is a taylor ham/egg/cheese on a roll with salt pepper and ketchup.

I swear by a bottle of Sprite, sipped slowly, has got rid of some of my worst hangovers lol, preventative is to drink water and green tea before bed 😀
