I know that the world today crushes people. There is a delicate balance between work, school, family, volunteer, physical demands, etc.
So I want to know, how do you take care of yourself?
Once a week, I dedicate a day to myself. Whether it be shopping, going to get pampered, an at-home spa day, whatever, I spend the whole day doing things I like to do 🙂
What do you all do?

I take very good care of myself. I eat well, I work out and walk my dogs, I make time for myself to be alone. I downloaded a meditation app for my phone and it sends me reminders to make ‘me’ time for myself. Honestly, I’m happier when I’m able to meditate.

I eat well, get enough sleep & do things that me smile.

I sit down and paint my nails. Just focus on that. Maybe have a tv show on in the background. It is just a nice thing to do for me.

I eat well every day, good sleep, enjoy my children every chance I can get when I’m with them. I don’t take what I have for granted, that’s for sure. Thank god for my FI, he helps me out Sooooo much, with everything!

bubble bath. Fo Sho. Not always with bubbles, it’s really about a nice hot BATH.
And I like to do my nails, all 20 of them. I have a lot of different colors. The nice thing about the toenails is that they never have to be business-appropriate.
Aside from that I think it’s important to have a lot of hobbies, some of which you do on your own, some with your partner and some with your friends. I think that’s the main thing that make my life joyful. Always something fun planned.

I eat healthy and every week have hot yoga, barre classes or Pilates. I’m at my best when I feel strong (physically and emotionally)
if I’ve had a rotten week I will buy some new clothes and get manicure.

I like to take bubble baths, then put on the comfiest pajamas I can find, then I open a window, put on some relaxing sounds (nature sounds), and fall asleep pretending I’m on the beach or in a forest somewhere. When I wake up, I feel so refreshed.

@jb20: I work out. That keeps me healthy, or so I hope. Also, I always get enough sleep and spend lots of time with my puppy (animals eliminate stress for me).

I take my meds, see my psychiatrist every two weeks, get in as much sleep as I can, and spend each day trying to relax and not stress! I am not working or studying right now and believe it or not that is stressful! Everything is on hold until my health is improved and that stresses me out! Can’t work or study until my health is better, and can’t move out with FI until we both are earning enough to move in together, and won’t get married until we have lived together for a while and I have finished my Masters. All of this stressing me out more and not helping my health, so I try not to think about it, and relax instead. Sorry for the long post!

I have a personal trainer, which is something I did “just for me”. When I signed up I felt kind of guilty – like I should be saving the money or giving it to someone else, but it has been great for me and now I’m really glad I am spending both the money AND the time.

Nothing else means much without time for the things that make my soul soar.

I try to eat well, spend quality and quantity time with my husband, go for walks every night with he and my pup, and every night before I go to bed I put on chapstick, lotion, and a nasal strip, lol.

Work out and go to sleep on time!
