As another Norman bride, (even though I wasn't planning on having a candy buffet), where is the one to avoid? I'm horrible with names of places, I just usually talk about them by their cross streets.
It's on Main St., between Berry & 24th. It's in the Carriage shopping center with Occassions invitations, Kern's, and a couple other places I can't remember. Just to the east of Brockhaus Jewelers. Hope that helps you find it (or not find it I suppose)!
That's too bad...I used to shop there a lot a million years ago when I lived in Norman. Thanks for the info.
@soonerpsych ... have a great time at your wedding this weekend!

For all the Oklahoma brides looking for candy buffet supplies, don't go to Candy Basket in Norman. I'm a Norman resident and have been in several times. Each time the staff is very rude and completely unhelpful. Today we went in and asked if they carried candy scoops, no. Candy jars, no. Then I asked how much candy they would suggest allowing per person and they said they have no idea. They just said brides buy different amounts from 1-10 lbs depending on what type of containers they're looking to fill. The lady never stopped leaning on the counter, didn't greet us, and never got close to a smile.
Instead, I'd suggest 42nd St. Candy Co. on Western Ave in OKC. The owner works most days and is a very nice lady. She special ordered some scoops for us and even gave us loads of candy samples. She helped us greatly and is the lowest candy price we've seen in the OKC or Tulsa areas. Her store carries everything from bulk candy to European chocolates to novelty candy like what we grew up with.
Hope this helps some of you Okie bees out!
