I took phentermine for a while and it helped. I stopped taking it because I never slept and my doctor was noticing an irregular heartbeat. I haven’t taken any diet pills since then, but I am taking some B12 supplements.

A friend of my mom’s just started taking Ally. If it works for her I may try it in addition to the diet and work out plan I’m on right now.

I’ve never used them.

How does one go about getting a prescription for diet pills? I’ve never heard of that before.

*Not judging, just curious!*

My mother and cousin took zenadrine (sp?). It did work for both of them but I know there were side effects. They both also gained back all of the weight after they stopped taking it.

Not gonna lie, I’m considering diet pills. 5 months doesn’t give me much time to accomplish anything without a little boost.

@SouthernGirl: One of my best friends took Alii before her wedding. While it did work, she ran the risk of shitting her brains out. Like literally, if you consumed more than the allowed fat you would get explosive diarrhea. It wasn’t pretty.

Try to get a prescription for Adderrall.  It will completely kill your appetite and you will turn into an unwilling anorexic.  Your metabolism will be screwed, though.

@brideatbeach:there are a ton of otc ones, but phentermine is a prescription only one.

They mostly (with the exception of alli) work with lots of caffeine and the like. mostly make you jittery. Honestly, unless you are on other medications/ have underlying conditions then I don’t care if you take them, because they probably won’t hurt you any more than the other crazy herbals people do. Just talk to your doctor before you start them.

@CruiseWedding2010: Well you can’t get it OTC but you can try to manipulate a psychiatrist into writing a prescription for you if you’re really desperate.

I took Alli. It didn’t make me shit myself because I was watching what I ate. If you take alli and then go get a big mac, yeah… you’re going to shit your pants. If you follow a healthy eating plan it’s just going to help your body not hold onto the “bad” ingredients.

@CruiseWedding2010: You can drop by just about any college campus and score some Adderall the old fashioned way, lol.
