I'm a bit south ofthe area you're discussing, closer to Philadelphia. Weather could be awesome or a bit hot...a bigger concern would be rain! Make sure you have a solid plan B for outdoor plans.
Hi! I clicked your post and I live in NEPA also, I actually live 15 mins from scranton. In June and july it will be somewhere between 70-90, we had a cool summer this year, so definitely NOT too hot for an out door ceremony/ reception. I am not sure about Barn venues, but I can PM you about the venue I work at if you are interested. Its on a golf course/ resort and the Banquet manager Holly and her staff go above and beyond ( or at least try really really hard) to make your day awesome.
I also went to a bridal show this weekend and ill give you the names of the places and the contact people for the venues.
Hi Mrs. Dishes! I'm in NEPA (Scranton to be exact) and found a venue called Friedman Farms. It's in Dallas and based on the photos, it looks beautiful. However, based on their site, they rent out by the week for set up time, etc, so it seems a bit pricy. I don't know what exactly you're looking for, but you might try them.

If you are looking for a Barn, friedman farms is pretty much it. If you are looking for outdoors there are lots of options. Nay Aug park in Scranton, you'd have to tent it. Mon Cherie Garden in Clifford, is an 8 acre private garden one wedding per weekend. The Stone Bridge. So me and my DH are planning on having a wedding for extended family and friends. Since our courthouse wedding was here in Oklahoma we decided to have the second in Pennsylvania. But, I've never been! I'm trying to utilize the Internet all I can. So I'm going to ask a few questions...
1. Weather?
What is the weather like late June early July? Too hot for an outdoor ceremony?
2. Venues
Goes in hand w/ my first question. Ideally looking for an outdoor ceremony and indoor/outdoor reception, like a barn. Any barns located around Scranton/Wilkes-Barre? Open to renting a tent for awesome outdoor space
3. Wedding planners/Day of coordinator
I will probably need someone since I'm out of state! Any suggestions?
