So whenever I look online at invites I never see an extra card listing info about the reception food and drinks. How come? What do I need to send out with my invitations for the wedding?

I think that's incase you are going to give the options (would you prefer dinner a or dinner b?). If you don't want to buy them, you don't have to. = ) I just did the invite and the response card, but some people throw in directions, and other fun stuff.

I sent our the invite, and a response card (we are doing food stations, so no meal choice), but I asked everyone to recommend a song for the reception on our response cards.

I also put in a small piece (about the size of the response cards) that had our wedding website and hotel and bus information.

I am confused at what you are saying... What would you need to tell them about food and drinks?

Typically there are 2 or 3 cards:

    • The main invitation (has ceremony and sometimes reception info)
    • The reply card (sometimes includes menu selections)
    • Optional: Reception/Direction card - giving directions or information about the reception

What would you like to tell your guests about food and drink?

I think some people provide a separate card with a description of the meals, but I think that's the exception rather than the rule.

Well I thought there was a card you give them with details about what will be served?
