Wild animals, hot weather, Sydney opera house, accents, vegimite, it’s history as a penal colony and beautiful landscapes

This is what all my English/European rellies and friends seem to think goes on here! It’s all snake, sharks and spiders apparently, lol.

@ksus07:  Kangaroos of course! And koalas. Also great white sharks and sunscreen. And sports because for some reason I know quite a few people who lived in Australia temporarily for various sports (baseball, basketball, etc.).

ETA: Bear Grylls drinking his pee to stay hydrated in the desert – didn’t he do this there? He seems to do it a lot of places, yuck! Haha

Honestly I dont ever remember learning much about Australia. The only thing I can think of are pictures of the opera house, kangaroos, and the commercial for Foster’s beer. I also think of the reef. I dont know anything about food, weather, people, etc. Oh yeah and the Outback because of a popular restaurant here.

@ksus07:  I’m from Australia but I asked my Korean friend this and she reckons: “Sausages, too much heat in Summer, steak on the barbeque and nice koalas” lol

I think of my awesome month there several years ago! My parents took my sister and I for a vacation and I loved it. It was like home (Canada) but cool and exotic.
