@KennedysueC:  Listen, wear the pants off of that dress. 😀 You only get one chance. You get bonus permissiong for eloping in the first place. No one says you have to go undercover to go to your dinner. 🙂 I would also humbly request some photos from dinner (and show if there are any surprises on your plate! :D)

You only get so many chances to wear your wedding dress (in public). Take it. Keep it on for dinner!

If it’s a nice restaurant, I would confirm with them that it is okay before you go (some have dress codes).

Otherwise, why not!?

Anything goes in NYC.  Plus, if they see that you’ve just got married, they usually go out of their way to make you feel awesome 🙂

@KennedysueC:  Wear it and enjoy every minute of it. It’s your wedding day, so wear that dress and look like a bride for as long as you can and as long as you’re comfortable.

Besides, people tend to enjoy seeing brides in full bridal gear out and about it. It can really brighten people’s day and make them smile.

@KennedysueC:  Heck yeah! My hubby and I eloped and right after the ceremony and pictures were done we headed to dinner at a really nice restaurant that overlooked the beach. Him still in his suit and me still in my dress! I did change into flip flops, however haha. We got a discount on our meals and a free dessert! Not to mention TONS of “congratulations” from everyone that we passed! 🙂

You get to wear that dress once, ROCK IT! I had so much fun! For once I liked all of the attention that we got. 🙂 We also went walking around town in our wedding attire to the little shops as well. I got to wear it for probably 6 hours that way. That wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

And I’d do it again, haha.

@KennedysueC:  It will look so strange wearing that dress to dinner in a regular restaurant. Everyone will stare at you. WEAR IT WEAR IT WEAR IT! You can giggle about it at your table having your first dinner with your husband. And the Converse will make it even better. 🙂 LOVE IT!

Yes!  Just make sure you can sit comfortably in it!  I had to take my gown off right after ordering appetizers because it was too uncomfortable to sit!  I had a back up dress (it wasn’t white at all though).
