Good Afternoon ladies! Well I was working on my centerpieces this weekend and this is what we came up with. We have done so many changes and this is what me and my MOH finally came up with. What do you all think? Do you think I need to make any changes? Any thoughts?
I'm a sucker for candles, I think it just oozes romance. I like it, it's simple and elegant.
Beautiful! : ) I love the combo of the candles (love candles) and the flower. The vases even coordinate, which makes my obsessive-compulsive squee a little inside.
They look great, but just a word of caution about your votives. The candles look a little high (almost level with the rim of the glass), so you may want to find something that sits lower. At my daughter's bridal shower, we actually had two fires from open candles that were similar. One person reached for bread and the napkin in the bread basket hit the flame, and another put the edge of the salad bowl (heavy plastic) too close to a candle and we all smelled something funny....the flame melted the edge of the bowl. Better to be safe!
very pretty, I love the glow of candlelight!
Gorgeous!
I am sure you looked into this, but just to be safe, does your reception venue have any rules on candles (i.e. no open flame)? I only ask because mine does. :)
I really like it! Where'd you get the floral rocks from? I'm looking for some to buy in bulk (for cheap!). :)
I think this turned out beautiful! I would not change a thing.
Thank you all so much! I APPRECIATE IT! It has taken me forever to put it together. I keep changing my mind or adding touches. That's why I wanted to ask you all because I only have 33 days left and HAD to finalize.
My venue does allow candles. Good thing :) Her exact words were "That's why we pay all this money on insurance!"
The candles are just under the glass rim of the votive holder. any smaller candle wouldnt last long enough. Tea lights? Forget about it. That's why I have big enough tables I can keep them far away from the guest. They would have to literally stand up and put stuff into them LOL
My rocks I purchased at Michaels. They had them on sale for .79 a bag. They do it like once a month I think. Or they do buy one get one or $1.00. All depends.
The flowers in them are Calla Lillies. I got them from Michaels as well. They were on sale for $1.99 or something like that. They were cheap!! I use alot of coupons and eye the sales. Atleast once a month what i need goes on sale and then I get coupons for percentage off of sale items.
looks really nice just be careful with the open flame
Girlfriend we must have seen the same inspiration photo because that is exactly what I'm doing for our wedding!
They look gorge!
I really like them! Are you planning on putting all three pieces with candles on each table? I was thinking, maybe just to mix things up a little bit, that you could place the big one with candles surrounding it or with some moss balls surrounding it...or you could do the two small ones with candles without the big one, etc. At my wedding each table was different and it really made for nice pictures & so things were a little different.
I am not even going to lie.. I had to google what a moss ball was HAHAHA So you think I should have those just lying around it? I have never seen those before.
Haha! The florist company I used LOVED using them! I got tons of compliments on it. You can get these from Michaels and probably Hobby Lobby too. But yes! That's how we had ours, just lying around the vases :) Here's some pictures:

Those are the moss balls...here are some more of my centerpieces:

Those are mason jars filled

They look absolutely gorgeous!!! Like it was said before just be careful that you can use those candles. Not to be a downer or anything, but I know that my venue requires a fire permit to have an open flame. When we went to the place to get the fire permit they said that the top of the flame had to be atleast 2 inches away from the top of the candle holder.
I think they are very pretty. I think calla lillies are so timeless and elegant. Very nice job!
love it! I'd add some flower petals and call it done!
i think they're nice.. my 2 cents though: what i really like about the inspiration photo is the asymmetry, the three pieces being different heights and positioned in that way is, for me, more interesting. i am not a huge fan of symmetry, but it's just a matter of taste.
I like it a lot, but I think I would prefer it if the center vase either didn't have the light (is that a led?) or had one which matched the tone of the candle light a little more. Mixing white and yellow lights is just a pet peeve of mine though. They look great!
i<3cALLAS
great job, it looks great and it'll look more amazing the day of in your pro pics!! :)
Thanks so much!
I am allowed to have open flames and there are no limitations... I may try a smaller candle just to see.
I do not have yellow stones. They are white and green. My colors are black white and green. There is an LED light in there... actually two. I think I will remove one of them so it is not so bright. But in person the light shines right on the calla lilys.. it looks sp pretty.
I love the idea of having flower petals.
I tried with the vases just like in the inspiration picture. It looks great in that picture but on the table it was too much and too big. I needed to bring it down a little. And wanted to add my touch a little and not be a huge copy cat anyway lmao.
Okay so I will try to remove on LED... try it with moss balls or flower petals and look for smaller green candles.
Thanks
