I just discovered a realtively new Etsy jeweler, based in California, whose business is called Okomido. She is on Etsy, has a small individual website, and apparently sells through a retailer called Turtle Love Co. My fiance and I really love her designs but as the shop has only been on Etsy a couple months, there are no reviews yet.
I’ve been in touch with her a little bit over the past week about a custom wedding ring, but I think due to the holiday weekend she hasn’t yet responded to some questions I sent last week. . . I have fallen in love with her designs and (ugh, first world problem) am super impatient to hear from her again!
So in the meantime, I’m wondering if anyone has jewelry from her and if so, what your experience was like!

hollandaisey: I know, isn’t it incredible? I wish I had known about them when I was picking an e-ring. Oh well. I have an amazingly lovely and well-designed twig ring from another excellent jeweler (Carla Caruso).
In case anyone finds this in a search for the same sort of information, I did just hear from Midori, who is the designer and I guess principal jeweler for okomido. She is very helpful, really nice, and the prices are astoundingly reasonable for what I’m hoping to have her make. The 5-day silence seems to be Etsy’s fault, or the internet’s fault, since she apparently sent me a message a while ago that just didn’t get to me.
I’m feeling really good about ordering our rings from her– the creations are amazing and all recycled metals and vintage/recycled/ethically sourced gemstones.
