I have had a zillion cats in my life and I would say to simply put the cat down. One of my close family friends is a breeder and she would say several things. Most importantly, once a cat starts going outside it’s box it isn’t going to magically start going back in the box. Another thing, the cat is 14. It’s not like it’s a kitten and (as harsh as this may sound) it probably doesn’t have much longer. Unless she is willing to put up with it until the cat dies of natural causes, I’m not sure there’s much else you can do. I had to put my cat down when she was 8 because she was peeing all over the house. We tried absolutely everything and after 3 years, I just couldn’t take it any more. It’s sad, but unless you want to put up with poop all over the house, I’m not sure there is another solution. Hope this helps :/

Has she tried a different food? Has she tried adding fiber to the food? We put unflavored metamucil on one of our cats food for years and the cat stopped pooping outside the box. Kitty was constipated. She could try a teaspoon of pumpkin too. Many cats love the stuff and its great for the bowels.

Cats can live well to 20 so I wouldnt simply say OK put it down. With age there can be health related issues. I would try Feliway and rescue remedy and also fiber sounds good to.
