That's awesome!!! Makes me want to go home and see if my parents have any wedding photos...I don't think they do because we had a house fire about 17 years ago, and we lost all of our old photographs. Maybe my grandma has some!
awww..sorry to hear that amanda.lynn.
My mom and dad have a really nice wedding album...but I never knew they had this photo of their engagement. I found it when I went to see them this past summer :)
@spaniel: they were in their early twenties.
I have one of my grandparents from my fathers side. It's really glamorous ... that's how my grandma was when she was younger. It's so cool to see it ... she was really fancy. =) I will try to take a picture of it and post it on here ...
Looking at old family photos is fun. My cousin just posted a bunch of old family photos, including my great aunt's wedding photo (my dad was a preschooler in the photos).
I thought about asking all guests to send photos of themselves at a wedding so I could do a display. we'll see if it works.
@iswimibikeirun: that's a really cute idea!
sadly, I don't think I've ever seen a pic of my mom or dad as toddlers or babies
That's awesome! Ok, so now you're gonna make me have to whore out my parents' photos. :p
I'm uploading them (big) to flickr so that I can post little ones on here, but for now, here are the too-wide-for-the-boards-size pictures on my blog!
That's really cool! I posted a photo of my parents on their wedding day for Weddingbee. I love old wedding photos!
@Laylabelle
My parents were really good with keeping photos.
They have a HUGE photo album of their own (them as adolescents, engaged and a young married couple)
And each of us (me, my bro, and sister) have our own HUGE album of childhood photos. My sweet mom always used to say how they hardly didn't have any money, but whenever they got some, they would go to the store and buy us outfits and take photos of us. I love them so much :)
That is so cool! I always love the old photo / film feel.. something you can't have with digital.. thanks for sharing.. -Ian
Oh what awesome pictures! Love it...wonder if my parents have any...
Thanks for sharing these great photos! Our reception place has a fireplace/living room just off the foyer when our guests arrive. I plan to arrange my family and FH family's old wedding photos on the mantel! I can't wait to display the generations of love!
awww, thankx @ ianvillaceran, chistine92 and all. I'm glad you liked the post/photo.
OKAY. I'm back. I put some in here now. :p

She really doesn't have an underbite. She was just self-conscious about her smile and tried to cover her (really perfect) teeth up with her bottom lip. Weird? yes.

My dad's the one on the left!

And more! (I wasn't sure how many I could put per post!)

My mom's sister and brother on the left, and my dad's sister on the right. People thought they were sisters! Also, everybody always thinks one of them is my mother when they see us together because I look like both of them!

I found out this evening that she was cussing like a sailor to my father because he wasn't helping her out of the limo. lol. She still makes that face.

Hands down, favorite picture of the bunch. I love her face!

The photographer apparently told her to look shocked. Well-done, mom. Not.

Ok! All done! Sorry for being a post whore! :p I just figured since I uploaded them, I'd post 'em. (Well, uploaded them for the sole purpose of posting. lol. I'm a dork).

Wow! Look at those Kodachromes!!! I love them all. Thanks for sharing! -Ian
Agreed, I saw them yesterday too (50 you got a lotta readers hah!) Those are awesome! I was at my parents house this past weekend looking through old photos of the rents & granparents to use for our wedding.
@ 50 - I noticed in your blog that your parents have the same kind of album as mine. How'd you get the pics out from the plastic & the matting to scan them?
50, I love love love your parent's wedding photos!!
I don't have any on this computer, I need to ask my fiance's mom to scan them for me - but at her wedding, she wore a little straw bowler hat with a veil. It is too much.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I was reading fifty's blog...and she had posted photos of her parent's wedding. I remembered that I have a photo on my computer of when my mom and dad got engaged! How cool is that?
(Mom and Dad are in the center, wearing blue dress and grey pants and vest)
AND YES, those are all my aunts/uncles from my mother's side...12 there total...but 3 are missing from this pic...so 15 from my grandma! God bless her!
Anyone else have family wedding/engagement photos they want to share? I just think its so cool that I can see what they looked like the day they got engaged!
