I think it depends on how you feel about yourself: are you healthy right now? Do you eat the right foods, get exercise, and have energy to face the day? If you do, then don’t worry about it. But if you’re not proud of the way you look and you’re lagging in the health department, I’d say now is as good of a time to get started as any!

I am going through the same thing right now! I dont look like I use to and there will be alot of old friends that will be at our wedding. I want to say that I dont care and to be just happy with who I am, but I know that wont be the case! So I am trying to lose some pnds before the wedding. I know even if its 10 or 50 it will make me more confident…. Do what you feel deep inside if you know that it will bother you on your day try simple things to take some pnds off! I’m sure we are alot harder on ourselves than other people anyway!!!

I feel the same way. There will be some friends I have not seen in years and I have gained over 50lbs. I’m scared I’m going to be walking down the aisle to gasps of dang she got fat.

I try to laugh it off-but it kind of sucks. Can’t really lose all that weight the healty way, besides I already ordered my dress, so I’ll just have to deal with the stares and comments-or just not invite those people. I mean I haven’t seen them in years anyway right!

Here’s the cold hard truth: (from a weight challenged bride) People gain and lose weight all the time. Think about your friends…sure you’ve seen them skinny, fat, and in between…right…but you don’t care!

I understand why you feel the way you do, and I know this is going to be hard for you, but if you love yourself and show a happy face, you will make it!!!

If you’re not at a happy place with your weight then I think you should work at changing it. You will feel better in body and mind and will be confident bride and not dread at looking at your wedding pictures- I have a friend who gained weight, she hate her wedding pictures so much so that she hasn’t even bothered to order any of them yet, I think that’s so sad. 🙁 . Btw, keep in mind that your friends may have gained weight too and don’t beat yourself up over it, you had a baby but also don’t use it as an excuse to stall, if that makes sense? 🙂
