Okay. My livingroom is old school movie themed. I found most of my decorations at the Christmas Tree Shop. This would be the type of stuff that could then be a gift for her to decorate her home. If you want throw away type of things, there are a ton of websites that carry that kind of stuff. Old movie reels, Audrey Hepburn Posters, stars, popcorn themed things. But that is getting more into the “movie theme”

Are you looking to do a more red carpet hollywood glam, hollywood gangter in pinstripes type of thing? If so… have a red carpet with a curtain that people can take pictures in front of, dim twinkle lighting (white christmas lights) and see if you can get some type of star like the kind you’d find on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and personalize it with their names. I could go on and on since these themes are my FAVORITE, so let me know if you need any other ideas or googling help! (PS: I am good with cheap but good looking crafty ideas..so hit me up)

And I’m sorry that you’re not the MOH, but hopefully she’ll be thrilled with you for stepping up; it’s REALLY nice of you.

If you do want to go with the hollywood movie theme, you could have a popcorn bar, with different flavored popcorn (cheese, BBQ, etc.) and chex party mix, what about making a signature punch cocktail, and lemonade.  Can you borrow punchbowl sets from family and friends for the signature drinks.  You could get set up lots of plastic martini glasses and dollarstore red cocktail napkins and small black plastic plates, to serve things in.  If you have a Costco, you could get large sheet cakes, and loads of little appetizers, or a couple of veggie platters, and mini creampuffs (110 pcs. per package).  You could serve lemon instant pudding in martini glasses with edges dipped in a colored sugar sprinkles and a dollop of canned whipped cream.  If you need something more substantial, you could do frozen meatballs in crockpots with ketchup and grape jelly (It sounds really gross, but it is delish!)  These could all be done ahead of time.  Even if you bought the ingredients, the others should each choose something to make, and help out with set-up and clean up.   Oriental Trading Company has free shipping if you spend $49.00 dollars.  They have a Red Carpet $5.99, Movie Night door Covers-one for $14.99, another with cut outs for couples photos you could set up in a doorway and take photos, $8.99, Movie Night buttermint favors, approx. 120 for $5.99, Hollywood Star stick & peel (which you could write bride & groom’s name on for $2.29 each, and movie night cut out decor 6pcs for $3.99, and popcorn bags for $3.49/dozen.  You could do as much or as little as you want.  I wonder if each BM and the MOH could even pitch in $5-7.00 pp it would help!  If you have items shipped to a local dollartree for pick-up you won’t have to pay for shipping.  Good luck.  I hope these ideas help!  Again, very nice of you to do this.  I am sorry you aren’t MOH.
