We're going for an old Hollywood/movie theme as well! We're using damask and lots of feathers to set the vibe, our guest book is four print sized versions of movie posters for people to sign, instead of having guests clink glasses to get us to kiss they will have to answer a movie trivia question. We are making a slideshow with pictures of us and movie quotes. I am wearing shoe clips with a picture from my favourite movie on them.

will your photos of old actresses/table numbers have names or numbers on them too?
See if you can get your wedding party together and do vintage photo's you can turn into posters that can decorate the space in vintage looking frames. Old Hollywood is about sepia, black and white, mirrors, you can do the mustache's on sticks, photo booth is a good one so people can do keepsakes. Feather boa's, feather bands for the women, fedora's for the men, satin's, silks, gold, silver, candleabras that kind of thing. For tables, have people assigned to movie star tables- Mr. & Mrs. So & So sit at Clark Gable. Wedding Party at Greta Garbo. Family at Vivien Leigh. Mr. & Mrs. So and So Audrey Hepburn etc. You can make a small table with pictures of the movie stars and put the people who are supposed to sit there under that picture. Red roses are a big thing in old hollywood.
Hang stars from the ceiling in silver and gold so it looks like it's raining Stars. You and your FI can create your own Hollywood Star of Fame by doing plaster casts of your hands and have them set up as people walk in or make a huge star in gold and dip your hands in paint and put it on the star. Sign them so it looks like you're the main celebrity and you can have them at your home as a reminder...

Hi Girls!
I am having an old hollywood / vintage movie themed wedding. We are "hiding" movie hints around the wedding... Im going to wear red sparkly shoes (Wizard of Oz), we are going to play songs from movies, like well known songs that people know theyre from movies. We are having instead of table numbers they will be photos of old actors/actresses. We are going to have a popcorn and candy table. We are thinking of dancing to Earth Angel by Buddy Holly and have it fade into Johnny B. Good, like Back to the Future. I was going to get the blue heart necklace from titanic, but my mom thought it wouldnt go right with my dress.
So.. Im looking for more ideas. Nothing corny, its going to be a classy vintage-y wedding. Im having my ceremony at an old theater and the reception at a banquet hall. We are also having like rat pack music playing during cocktail hour and alot of oldies to dance to.
