I was curious to hear some stories of what ladies planned or used for the old/new/borrowed/blue aspect.
My MOH called up my mom, my MIL, and the other co-MOH and planned mine. Each woman in my life contributed.
My something old from my mom was my late grandmother’s wedding set, tied into my dress over my heart:
My something new was a beautiful diamond and sterling bracelet from my oldest friend and MOH (who organized this), my something borrowed was the ring on my pinky from my MIL (a large purple and diamond amethyst ring) and the charm tied to my bouquet was one of two something blue items from my other MOH – she made it, it had our initials and a doggie charm (DH and I are in love with our pooch, he was a Valentine’s gift from me three years ago and DH proposed to me buy tying the ring around his neck last Christmas!) – all three are shown in these pictures:
My other something blue was a sweatshirt, custom made with my married name and wedding date!

Old – the family stone
New – our wedding bands
Borrowed – my DD’s barrette
Blue – DH’s eyes.
It was a last minute, tossed together in under 10 minutes JoP ceremony. Not like I had a ton of time to coordinate this stuff!!!

My old is my great great grandmothers pearls, my new will be the charm for by bouquet the the FH is making, my borrowed will be my mothers wedding ring, and I am unsure of my blue. Bakerella had her dads or grandfathers medal with her dress, I am considering using one of my dads medals as my blue.

Old – antique dress pin from my great great aunt that my mom made into my fascinator, a handkerchief that my MIL’s grandma made
New – Dress, Shoes
Borrowed – necklace and earrings from two of my aunts, purse from my cousin
Blue – a diamond and sapphire anniversary ring that my late aunt/second mom left me in her will. My cousin surprised me with it right as I was about to get my makeup done. Needless to say they had to wait for the mascara! Oh… and my knickers!! (I didn’t know about the ring!) 😉
