Hey Omaha brides! I'm Mel and I also live in Omaha although I'm getting married in South Dakota. I was just wondering if there are any good wedding supply stores in town. I know there are a lot of wedding attire stores but I haven't found any good supply stores. Also, have any of you been to Oriental Trading? Do you know where they are located.

Thanks for your help. Good luck planning.

Hi, Mel!  What exactly are you looking for?  Name some items and I might have some recommendations.

And OTC is either on 90th and Q or 108th and I.  I think one is a call center and not sure what the other location is.

Thanks for all your help Niki. I'm just looking for basics like a garter, ring barer pillow, guestbook, untiy candle, bubbles, etc.

I've heard that you can go to OTC and buy directly from them but I haven't been able to find out where you do that at. Oh well, I'll probably just have to order online.

    Have a good day!

Let me get back to you on that.  My old neighbor works for OTC.  I will have my mom ask her.  I would try looking at Factory Card Outlet on 132nd and Dodge next to PetCo and Michael's on the other side of 132nd and Center across the street from Target.  Michael's has much higher quality things, but is a little more expensive than FCO.  I had a wedding field day at Michael's, but whatever you do, don't buy a thing without a coupon, they have them in the paper and hand them out at the register (often for 25-50% off).

Oh!  And Mangelsen's on 84th off of I-80.  Tons of wedding stuff at all three.

I agree that Michael's and Mangelsen's are great.  Also Hobby Lobby, and their stuff goes on sale frequently (look in Sunday's paper in the ETA section or online at Hobby Lobby's site).  As for OTC, I was told that you can't buy from them in person, only online, and shipping takes forever.

    Good luck!
