We get a lot of new members in January, due to all the holiday engagements... so thought I'd post this reminder to new members!
Thanks for posting this Mr. Bee...I agree...there's been SOOO many lately, and it has been a bit annoying!
The squirrels behind the scenes have been working overtime on these, so it would be great if boardbees can help out by using classifieds instead of the boards :)
I try to let them know where they go but it has been quite a few lately....
Maybe there should be an auto FAQ/FYI email that goes out when you register? But then that would mean more work.
@Mrs. DG: i feel like a brat when i say please post this in classifeds... very much like a much dreaded (duh duh duh).... (wait for it)

I agree with the FAQ tab or something similar so newbies know what everything is around the site!!!

Ok, I've done it once (I'm sorry.) ... but that's because I wanted fellow Philadelphia brides to see the wedding items I was trying to sell. The classified don't group them by region... so it's kinda hard to try to sell things, if you have to consider cost of shipping the items.
Just a thought.
@yrret107: Could you maybe post your idea in the idea section to be able to post your items for sale by region in the Classifieds? You make a good point! :) http://ideas.weddingbee.com/

There is an idea already about having location on classifieds. I don't know if it's something they are looking at doing. Maybe I'll bump the post again with my reasons for having it.

Ooh! I love the idea of a FAQ/FYI email or section somewhere. It took me two and a half months of being in the hive before I finally noticed the "Ideas" section up at the veeeerrrrrrry top of my webpage.
What about just adding a clickable note about it on the Write a Post page? Right under the bit about vendors being allowed to post and snarkiness, you could add:
"If you are looking to buy/sell wedding items, please post in the Classifieds section instead."
Haha sorry I was just venting... wasn't looking for practical solutions at the time. :-)
But sure, we can look into adding more text above the posting boxes. I actually don't think it will help very much - we already say vendors shouldn't spam our boards, but we get vendor spams all the time.
But it's come up as a suggestion a few times, so we'll make a note to sneak it into a future code update!
Hope it gets better and less busy!! I like the idea of having a regional classifieds!
mrbee, I've been in super organized mode lately, so sometimes they drive me a little crazy too, and I do feel a little weird for admitting that. :-)
Thanks for the reminder, Mr. Bee. I have noticed more and more of these lately!
