So if you follow any of my posts.. I tend to have taste that I cannot afford. I have been head over heels in love with a St. Pucchi gown that is about $7400 to which my plan is to take out a credit card for.
I have been to countless shows, tried on maybe 15-20 gowns and NOTHING compares to this gown, nothing has b=given me that bride feeling like that first dress.
Now after all this time and thinking how nothing in what I consider affordable price range is at all attractive to me (I am a fashionista/designer- No I am NOT going to make my own dress).. I open my the new issue of Brides magazine an hour ago to find a gown that has most of my requirements and is by ALLURE Couture! hich to me is by far more affordable than a St. Pucchi! I am sooo excited, I want to break intoa bridal salon with bridesmaid accomplices right now to try this baby on lol! It’s so pretty.. so far I can’t find anything about it online- not a picture or runway video as I thought I would. Here is a pic I took from my phone. It is reminiscent of both an Eve of Milady and what my mom and I said at the same time- a Pnina!
I cannot wait to find this gown and try her on!!

Very excited for you! Good luck!

Wow just incredible. I agree with not making your dress. Why do so many people expect to make your own. If you can design and sew does not mean your taking on a wedding dress to fit your own body. Congrats on the dress find.

Nevermind found it on their website.. I didn’t recognize it online. Finding a lil less exciting now *sigh* I’m becoming way too hard to please. LOL I should still try it on! It just looks almost A-lineish on the website. I want a big huge ballgown.

You could probably add a hoop skirt underneath to give it a more ballgown like feel.

Can it take an extra crinoline to make it bigger?

Maybe on the hoop skirt… It has to have enough material for it to “poof” the way I want it to. Ughhh. I’ve been feeling so incredibly defeated on the dress front. I have to high of expectations. I also don’t have the wallet for these expectations. We’ll see.. I’ll try it on- with hoop or big crinoline and maybe my first impression will be right.
This is the website photo: which looks less poofy. I hate when they take pictures SITTING and the dress looks that much bigger and more amazing. Grr. lol

This dress is beautiful! I love St. Pucchi too, though! Do you have pictures of that dress?

I hope you can find it near you to try on!!

@EffieTrinket: This is the St. Pucchi (which by the way if I had seen the picture of online before seeing it in the store.. I wouldn’t have thought twice.

Wow $7,000+ for a wedding dress – that’s crazy!!

” I have been head over heels in love with a St. Pucchi gown that is about $7400 to which my plan is to take out a credit card for.”
This is how you know you’ve lost all control over your reasoning abilities. Going into massive high-interest debt for something you’ll be wearing for 8 hours. Yikes. That’s economy-crashing judgement right there.

I LOVED st. pucchi too so so much! I’m sure something underneath would make a world of difference. I’ve seen dresses like that turn into big ballgowns before from it. 🙂 It’s so pretty. Good luck!

Hopefully the Allure dress works out-it looks gorgeous. **crossing my fingers** for you.

Who is to say she won’t pay it off in six months? Before people started using credit in a bad way, credit was actually a good thing.
I put my dress on a credit card from the salon (Priscilla of Boston). It was $3000 dollars and I didn’t have the money up front, but if I paid it off in six months, there was no interest. And I paid it off in six months and it was much, much easier that way.
Only OP knows what she can and cannot afford.
Anyway, OP, I actually prefer the Allure as the two oversized Rosette shapes on the dress of the Pucchi are much less elegant.
Is the effect of the Allure really ombre or is that just the photo editing. It looks to fade into pink in the one picture, which I find GORGEOUS.
