Definitely shoes, and undergarments if you have them (I’m hoping my dress will be supportive enough so I don’t have to fork out extra money for a low-back bustier!)

I’d also bring any jewellery/veil/headpiece/belt you are thinking of wearing.

Picosa2:  I haven’t actually been to mine yet, but that’s what I’ll be taking with me. I’ll probably bring my mum (who sews and is making my veil and belt) and possibly MOH/sister for support since our mum can get a little OTT. I hadn’t thought about makeup/hair during the fitting! I might just put on some eyeliner/mascara (I rarely wear makeup) and stick my hair in a bun since I’m having an updo.

You take your shoes and undergarments that you plan on wearing with the dress. Your seamstress should also tell you but that’s what I took.

Just take your shoes and your undergarments.  Shoes are a must so it will be hemmed at the right height.  I would try to bring undergarments that you think might work, but don’t worry too much about them unless it is a crinoline slip which would affect the length.  I ended up having them sew cups in my dress and the underwear I had for my fitting didn’t look good with the dress, so I had to buy a new one for the final fitting- not a big deal.  I wouldn’t wear a ton of makeup just to reduce the risk of it getting on your dress.  You don’t need to bring anyone with you unless you would like someone’s opinion.  Definitely bring someone to the second fitting so they can teach them how to do the bustle.

Honestly, I would just ask them about what to bring. I had 4 fittings and my seamstress leaves the hem for the absolute last alteration, so shoes weren’t actually needed until the end. They also put cups in to be sewn, so really I didn’t take anything to most of my fittings until the final. I will say that my first fitting was a bit anticlimactic, as all the squats I had been doing increased my bum 1 1/2 inches and the damn thing didn’t fit! I ended up losing weight after that while continuing to tone and they had to take it in, so it was fine. Good luck!
