WOW!!!!!! This is how my sister has dreamt about being proposed to! How glamourous!!! Best wishes! Just make sure you don’t lean out of the basket after you get the ring

@beekiss2: Im feel giddy now sitting my computer chair thinking about the heights!!! Ill make a closed fist as soon as that ring is on so I dont lose it!!!
@shmell7: Good idea to make a fist! I’m not big into heights, I’d be panicking. I hate wind, as a small child I was afraid I’d be blown away. Yeah, I’m paranoid and irrational but I think it’s neat!

That sounds like it’s going to be amazing!

Wow, that sounds amazing. I’m jealous!

@shmell7: My FI proposed in a hot air balloon and it was amazing!! I thought I was going to be scared, but I got up there and loved it. It’s so relaxing. That’s so exciting!!

Oh yay!!! It sounds like it’s going to be so much fun! I wish SO would do that one day but I don’t think his big on heights. I always wanted to ride in a hot air ballon. Well please come back and post pics.

The good thing about knowing when it’s gonig to happen is you can wear your best outfit and be on your best behaviour, so you and your SO will have nothing but good memories of the moment.
@OurWedding: Good to know you relaxed once your were up in the air! Thanks for sharing your pics!
@moderndaisy: Exactly right – Im really bad at interupting and spoiling the moment so I can pretend to be none the wiser and let him do his thing! As for my best outfit there website says dress as though you were going hiking… So it will have to be jeans and a cute top and some ballet flats or something … but you get picked up from home at 4am!!! How on earth am I meant to get ready when hes just going to wake me up in the middle of then night to say get up we are going out…(its a sunrise ride followed by champagne brunch!!) And I dont normally wear make up or such on a regular day so he might be onto me if I got too ready when he woke me up! lol.

OMG! That’s sooooooooo exciting and incredibly romantic!
I don’t think I’d wear makeup if I were you. . .I generally only wear makeup for special occassions too, and I know my SO would be suspicious if I were you. The last thing you want to do is ruin it for him. From what I can tell, most guys want the proposal to be incredibly special and memorable and they pry themselves on making it as perfect as possible for us.
Be sure to keep that outfit clean and in a spot that’s easy to locate especially since you won’t know exactly what day it will happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So very excited for you!!!!!! Be sure to keep us posted!

Why, why, why would you think it is ok to snoop in his wallet?
You are the author of your own demise. How can he ever suprise you with anything when you do not respect his privacy.
@julies1949: I wasnt snooping on purpose – I was getting money our for groceries (we live together and are always in each others wallets for cash etc). And the note and business card were right on top (he has a 1000 other places he could have hidden it – like amongst a million of his cards etc or not in his wallet but somewhere else like his car that I am never in).
He surprises me all the time with little things like flowers and presents etc. I didnt want to know but I have been bursting at the seams to know when not how or what just when (as in which week/weekend) cos hes been hinting for a good couple of months ago now and its driving me nuts!
If I really wanted to ruin it I could have looked at their website and found out every little detail about whats going to happen and as I said earlier I only know a range of dates not an exact one – Ive been on pins and needles for a good couple of months now and I cannot tell you how relaxed I have been today knowing that it won’t happen today or tomorrow or next week and thats ok with me.
I knew Id get a post or two like this from other bees asking me why I snooped and Im not cranky or mad that you posted something like that – I do wish I didnt know but we’ve been together for almost 4 and living together for 2 so I really would think that a proposal wouldnt be a massive surprise -Im just thankful that I have a good timeline so I can relax and I really do feel much better.
