Bees I urge you to do a sit test in your dress before you buy. I went for my fitting yesterday and when I sit down my dress pushes my chest area up and I am splilling out….I am upset and not sure what can be done to fix it. I know my mom is gonna be horrified….I am a lil over a month away from my wedding….why oh why didn’t I notice this???
Please ignore the no make up and crappy hair…..just so you can get an idea….I am feeling tons of regret right now
This is what it looks like standing…I knew it was a bit low when I took this pic but thought I just didn’t have it pulled high enough before she laced it up….. but when I sit its awful

When I stand up it’s not so bad…I am just hoping that when I go back she can take it out some in that area. Ughhhhh

What type of backing is your dress? if it’s coreset you could just have it kept slighty looser in the bust.
@drummerbride: yes it’s corset. When I go back I will try the dress again laced up looser and hopefully that will help….Gosh dress regret is getting to me now! Plus I felt hot and my dress felt heavy….my gosh I feel dress regret right now

You do NOT look like you’re spilling out! Also, you are gorgeous! My dress is a similar style and satin, I defintely didn’t notice until I picked it up how hot it was! I didn’t notice when I first bought it! But maybe with your wedding in October it will be a cooler day and you’ll be fine 🙂

@weddingbound: NOOO!!!!! No dress regret lady!!! You look beautiful and I do not think you’re busting out!

Honestly, it doesn’t look bad to me at all but it’s all about what you’re comfortable with. I’m so sorry to hear that 🙁

Girl, you look gorgeous! Everything will be just fine! I hardly notice a thing!

You don’t look like you’re spilling out at all! As far as it being hot, whats feeling a little warm in trade for a gooorgeous dress. Remember, pain is beauty lol!

It doesn’t look like you’re busting out, but if it feels uncomfortable it may just be too tightly done up.

It really doesn’t look like you’re spilling out (and you look really pretty without makeup). You look lovely!

I don’t think you’re spilling out at all. A friend of mine had a similar problem with her dress and she found that when she wore a push up bra, it made it worse. She got a bra that had a little more coverage and it made a huge difference.

WHERE are you spilling? Because I sure don’t see any spilling. That dress looks stunning on you!
I agree, I don’t see spillage. Son’t forget that you have a very different view than anyone else. no one else is looking directly down into your cleavage.
ETA: The dress probably felt a lot hotter and heavier since you were upset about the spillage. But when you realize that you don’t have a spillage problem, you will probably be more comforatble in the dress in every regard.

@mchitt329: Thanks I too didn’t realize hot hot and heavy it was til I picked it up and with the first fitting I was in it for a while…..oh lord and I am getting married in St Thomas…guess I’ll keep a fan and towel with me….It will be around 75 that time of year there but since our wedding is late in the day I am praying that it won’t be scorching hot…LOL
@couawilou: Thanks I am just a ball of nerves really after that fitting yesterday and I litterally got sick at my stomach after seeing that pic with me sitting….my mom hates cleavage I mean hates it….she always comments on girls that are showing too much and says not so nice things so I am horrified at the thought of what she might say when she sees it….but you girls have made me feel better that’s for sure but still feeling that god awful regret feeling….GOSH that feeling SUCKS!
