But it’s ok because FI bought me my UPGRADE ring last night! 🙂 It’s a 1 carat (6.5mm) Moissanite! He ordered it and it should be here within the next week! This is a wonderful upgrade from my previous Cubic Zirconia. We’ve been looking at moissanite for quite some time now and we decided to splurge and do it BEFORE the wedding. I’m patiently waiting 🙂

I’m confused, do you want help getting it out of the sink? If so, do not run water. Look under your sink and you’ll see a pipe that looks like a U. The bottom of the U part unscrews. Put a bucket under the pipe and unscrew the U part and your ring should be there.

OMG my heart stopped when I read your title… glad it’s all good! you have to show us your upgrade when you get it!

Whew! For a second there I was going to say tear the sink, plumbing, and cabinets out and get that sucker out. Obviously I subscribe to the hulk-methodology of recovering jewelry. 😉 GORGEOUS ring! You must be so excited!

My jaw dropped reading the title. Yay for new ring! But don’t you want your old ring back too?

OP, you should amend your title since you don’t need a solution on how to get it out and you a good outcome.

My old ring was a cubic zirconia that I INSISTED we get first before buying my real ring…bad choice..I should have just waited for the new one that’s on its way. The ring was from fantasyjewelrybox and it was beautiful at first, but the silver looked dull and it was just cheap. This will be my real ring. I didn’t want a real diamond because I’m very eco-concious and I didn’t want FI spending some ridiculous amount on a ring or starting our marriage with debt. No offense to the ladies with the real rocks! If you have the money to spend, go for it. I just decided to go with moissanite for personal reasons. I think I’m really going to love it! I can’t wait to get it 🙂

@bride_to_b_2014: wait…What? I’m confused…what do the reasons why you chose a mossanite have to do with a ring going down the drain…
Post # 12
Because I dropped my CZ down the sink….but what I was saying in the post was that it’s ok because my CZ was cheap and we ordered the moissanite anyways.

@mstellah: I think because she said now they decided to get the ring before their wedding. If she still had the old one she was going to wait I think? Not sure though!
Anyways, OP beautiful ring!

I’m glad you got a new ring that you like even more, but I’d still try to rescue the original ring…

Yeah, to be honest you should try to get the ring out anyway. You don’t want it to clog/damage the pipes!
